Here's a 15 year old picture of me. I'm the one on the far right.
The 2 closest to me are also named Matthew. The one right next to me is the Canadian author of the "Life in the Seminary is like the movie Platoon" thread.
The one next to him (grinning at the camera) is from Oregon. He's quite handy with a log splitter -- I guess everyone has to be when you live in a state that is almost completely forested. He was the only classmate older than me, until Sean Johnson (yes, "that" Sean Johnson) arrived at the beginning of my class's First Year. (Most of my class started out in Zero Year, a.k.a. "Humanities") Why am I so aware of age/rank? Because in the seminary, age/rank is very much acknowledged. It determines where you sit in choir, so your "place" is always apparent. Even within the same class, everyone is ranked according to age. The seminary is a strict hierarchy. Eat your heart out, Democracy!
The one next to him (second from the left) is the brother of an SSPX priest. The SSPX priest is this man's younger brother, and his German last name begins with an F.
The first on the left just recently left the religious life (brother) in the SSPX. He was a seminarian or brother for almost 15 years. Imagine returning to the world after THAT!
These were all classmates of mine. The same year as Fr. Riccomini.
