  • 'E saw Esau sawing wood,
And Esau saw 'e saw 'im.
Though Esau saw 'e saw 'im saw,
    Still Esau went on sawing!

Another similar and far worse passage:

Esau Wood sawed wood. Esau Wood would saw wood. All the wood Esau Wood saw, Esau Wood would saw. In other words, all the wood Esau saw to saw, Esau sought to saw. Oh, the wood Wood would saw! And, oh the wood-saw with which Wood would saw wood! But one day, Wood's wood-saw would saw no wood, and thus the wood Wood sawed was not the wood Wood would saw if Wood's wood-saw would saw wood. Now, Wood would saw wood with a wood-saw that would saw wood, so Esau sought a saw that would saw wood. One day, Esau saw a saw saw wood as no other wood-saw Wood saw would saw wood. In fact, of all the wood-saws Wood ever saw saw wood, Wood never saw a wood-saw that would saw wood as the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood would saw wood, and I never saw a wood-saw that would saw as the wood-saw Wood saw would saw until I saw Esau Wood saw wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood. Now Wood saws wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood!

    The Leith police dismisseth us,
    I'm thankful, Sir, to say,
    The Leith police dismisseth us,
They thought we sought to stay,
    The Leith police dismisseth us
And we both sighed sighs apiece,
And the sigh that we sighed as we said goodbye,
Was the sigh of the Leith police!

  • Say this fast just three times, and then share it with your friends:

    Irish-wrist-watches.

It is my family's favorite.  :-)

  • Try this one:

Silly Sally saw six thick Thistlesticks.
If Silly Sally saw six thick Thistlesticks,
where are the six thick thistlesticks Silly Sally saw?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

  • These are all very good, a little innocent laughter in a foul world. I think Father Faber wrote a beautiful passage on the Lord's laughter in his ''Blessed Sacrament''.

She sells sea-shells on the sea-shore.
The shells she sells are sea-shells, I'm sure.
For if she sells sea-shells on the sea-shore
Then I'm sure she sells sea-shore shells.

    Iron coffee-pots and tin coffee-pots,
    They're no use to me.
If I can't have a proper cup of coffee,
    from a proper copper coffee-pot,
I'll have a cup of tea!

The seething sea ceaseth and thus the seething sea sufficeth us.

A fly and a flea in a flue,
Were imprisoned -- so what could they do?
Said the fly -- let us flee! Said the flea -- let us fly!
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.

    There's no need to light a night-light,
On a light night like tonight,
    For a night-light's a slight light,
On a light night like tonight!

  • Thomas a'Tatamis took two T's
to tie two tuts to two tall trees
To frighten the terrible Thomas a'Tatamis,
Tell me how many T's in that.

Thumbs up for the correct answer.
