  • Critical Thinking At Its Best!

    Woman:
    Do you drink beer?

    Man: Yes.

    Woman:
    How many beers a day?

    Man:
    Usually about 3.

    Woman:
How much do you pay per beer?

Man: $5.00 which includes a tip.

(This is where it gets scary!)

    Woman:
And how long have you been drinking?

    Man:
    About 20 years, I suppose.

    Woman:
So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each
month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 …correct?

    Man:
    Correct.

    Woman:
If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past
20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?

    Man:
    Correct.

    Woman:
Do you know that if you didn’t drink so much beer, that money could have
been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting
for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a
    Ferrari?

    Man:
    Do you drink beer?

    Woman:
    No.

    Man:
    Where’s your Ferrari?

  • Funny joke, and it illustrates one of the most serious issues faced by those who identify with Tradition.

On the one hand you have a man who is wasteful of the resources he has possessed over the years. Picture him as a man who has ignored the graces which God has made available to him over time.

On the other hand you have a woman who is very knowledgeable about the realities of this man's life. She recognizes that he is in sin and she is attempting to point out how different this person's life could have been if he had invested his life's efforts with spiritual meaning.

He asks her where all of the actual fruit of her "better" life is (her 'Ferrari'). The man understands that if she is truly possessed of the spirit of truth and is not just making rational arguments from logic, she should be evidencing the profound effect that Truth has upon a human life.

In short, one of the most powerful weapons of deception that the Devil uses against the unaware is the APPEARANCE of 'good works' among those who hold to the subjectivist/humanist religion of Conciliar Modernism.

When those who are possessed of truly sanctifying grace are so few in number AND they often fail to seize every opportunity to increase in sanctity through mortification, the unbelieving world gets fooled into thinking that the True Faith is nothing more than rhetoric that produces no true fruit.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
This evil of heresy spreads itself. The doctrines of godliness are overturned; the rules of the Church are in confusion; the ambition of the unprincipled seizes upon places of authority; and the chief seat [the Papacy] is now openly proposed as a rewar
