  • If a high of 88 barely 1 week into February is "near" record high temperatures, I'd hate to see the record!

Fun fact, almost exactly 4 years ago we had the Great Texas Blizzard of '21, when the temperature stayed below freezing for multiple days, we had snow persisting more than a day (several in fact) and serious power issues in the state of Texas.

So in 2021 we had record lows the second week of February (around 10, 11 degrees) and just 4 years later, the same days, we're having 88 degrees. Insane!

  • Thankfully La Nina has moved into place, guaranteeing cold weather for most of western Canuckistan probably straight through March. I am sure this arctic will eventually slip southward. If it will not be a snowy cold spring here (Alberta) I will be surprised.

I agree. NO warm spells here in Sask catchah one, Canada. From early Dec. till 2 weeks ago: C O L D. And God was very generous with snow; He knows we are in a drought cycle...60% of prairies dry.
In the photo, taken an hour ago,  you can barely see the Stop sign.  At least now we can brag about hills,( snow hills that is*)
