It's a handicapped ring-tailed lemur, native to Madagascar, but my husband says the people are not speaking Malagasy, or at least he does not recognise the language they speak.

I say handicapped because this type of lemur should have his tail more than double the length of this fellow, and so he would be unable to swing from tree to tree as they do.

Still he is very cute and well fed. Who can complain when you've always got someone around to scratch your back on cue!
