  • If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • :laugh1:

I'm sure I'll be attacked for the poor taste here.  But a few years ago, there were THREE women (including my wife) all due to give birth within a couple weeks of one another living no more than a few houses apart on the same street.  So when all the ladies were talking, I asked them if there had been a good-looking new UPS guy filling in that week?  They all laughed.

    They all laughed.
Was it a genuinely funny laugh or a nervous laugh?

  • LOL, this is my son.  He will find and complain about the tiniest onion fragment.  So my wife resorted to using onion powder.  Sometimes he even sniffed that out.  Thankfully, he's just recently decided that he likes onions.

Sometimes my wife will try to sneak a stick of gum (when she has an upset stomach).  So she'll go to another room and sneak it.  Halfway across the house, I noticed one of the kids sniffing out loud and then exclaim "I smell gum."  He then proceeded on his quest to find it.

When my wife was pregnant with our first, I was working a second job.  I got home around midnight, and she was already sleeping.  She was in the bedroom with the door closed.  I went to the kitchen.  I was hungry since I hadn't eaten for a while, so I started to open a can of tuna.  I had not gotten past two turns of the can opener when she ran out of the bedroom alarmed by the smell.  Pregnant women develop an incredibly heightened sense of smell.  I told her, "there's no way the smell moved that quickly through a closed door into the bedroom."

I know, right?  I trust my wife completely.  Not so sure about the other two.

  • I think it's the opposite for me.  I always think the second picture, but then people sometimes come over to tell us how good and well behaved our kids are.  I usually look both ways over my shoulder to make sure they're talking to me.  I think:  "You should see them in their native habitat."

Street Artist, Sabo, altered a Hollywood ad for Halloween debuting on October 19, 2018 now showing Maxine Walters with the knife.
    .
    .
Sabo ought to get some kind of award for this. Excellent work!
You'd think it was actually planned that way by the billboard production company.
Most graffiti "artists" are much more crude in their style, just using spray paint cans.
This must have been done with pre-made, glued-on panels.
#UNCIVIL DEMOCRATS is the understood message.
    .
    Very well done.
    .
    .
A billboard advertising the new Halloween movie opening Friday was altered after a street artist swapped out an image of serial killer Michael Myers and replaced it with one of Maxine Waters.
    .
The gigantic billboard at Pico Boulevard in West Hollywood remains intact, only the congresswoman is now holding the sharp butcher knife in her right hand, looking ready to plunge it into an unsuspecting victim. The phrase "#Uncivil Democrats" has also been added.
    .
Blumhouse and Universal are advertising the sequel to the 1978 classic slasher movie of the same title on several billboards in and around Hollywood, though in the dead of night a conservative artist known as Sabo hijacked one of them.
    .
Sabo tells The Hollywood Reporter that the text he added to the advertisement is a reference to Waters telling a crowd in June to make things uncomfortable for President Donald Trump and his Cabinet members.
    .
"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd," Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles. "You push back on them and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."
    .
Since then, several notable Republicans have been confronted in public places, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, presidential senior adviser Stephen Miller and Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
