It's a perfect metaphor, because just like there's no "right way" to stick a metal fork into a wall outlet, there's no "right way" to inject socialism into an economy. Socialism goes against human nature and the Natural Law.
It also captures the foolishness of the modern day neo-Socialists of 2018, who think that their ideas will somehow bring a Utopia, even though Socialism has already been tried & failed in countless other places (Venezuela comes to mind).
