  • It seems to me a lot of husbands and their purchases are probationary but women are given free rein to buy what they say they need.

I would say this is a total reversal of St. Paul's teachings, and it's sad to think it's probably not uncommon among trads.

  • Use Paint.Net and adjust the contrast.

  • I wasn't raised to spend money frivolously.
200 bucks is a llot of money. For some families, it'sa months ggroceries. I cannot justify that kind of expense. Besides, I love classical music and going to the symphony is more enjoyable than listening to mp3. Better use of money as far as I am concerned.

I can honestly say I've never spent money better than on good headphones.  Never have I gotten more for the money.  In buying "cheap" headphones I always got burned, since I typically broke them within a few months.

The dollar has lost a huge amount of value and groceries are very cheap compared to the old days.

A person who can afford to regularly go to the symphony, paying for the gas and ticket, can afford decent headphones.

If it's not your thing I understand.  It's just it's not a huge expenditure, and it's worth the money, in my estimation.

  • We'll agree to disagree.

Symphony tickets are 10 bucks each. Bought in advance. Transportation is free. I work for transit. Fun evening. Very cultural. Part of our catholic heritage.

For what it's worth, my son agrees with you.

Don't you own a $600 plasma TV when you don't watch TV?

    Anyway,

I was just going to update the thread.

Sennheiser sent me a new pair of headphones, no charge.

Within a week of sending the broken pair in.

  • The TV is for the ps3 which I use to play movies. Sports games too. We got rid of our cable.

Glad everyone is holding me accountable.

  • It seems like most people even the most frugal, have something they splurge on a little.
