  • Hi guys.

I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it on my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no laughing matter.

So I am going to write a post and witness to the lost on here...

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some Scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

     Rom 3:23 :
     For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

     Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

     Rom 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

     Blessings,
     Jacqueline

    Dear Jacqueline,
thank you for your caring for the eternal salvation of souls here. However, you seem not to understand that we here are Catholics and we belong to - not a but the - only truly Bible-believing Church.
I pray that your fire and further searching will lead you to find your way into the Church that takes every bit of God's Word seriously.
May God reward your for your earnestness in your search for the fullness of Truth.

  • Here is a rough translation of a post by a Muslim girl in a French language forum;

Hello or good evening to all, I already invite non-tolerant people or jokers not to read what follows because I am already quite troubled myself. I do not know if I'm in the right column but if it's not, I'm sorry.

I am an 18-year-old Muslim girl who grew up in a Muslim family and my parents are practicing like all the rest of my family. My parents gave me a strict Muslim education, in the sense that they do not oblige me to anything. I respect of course all other religions and beliefs, I find that this is the most beautiful in this world as much diversity.

Last year I started having health problems because of my lack of self-confidence and my anxiety so I prayed enormously. And last April, while I was still "sick", I had a dream that frightened me and which troubled me at the same time: I DREAMED FROM JESUS! In the "Dream" Jesus told me that he was the truth ... at first I denied and I thought it was my situation that made me crazy .. I cried a lot after that Am very emotional) because I did not understand, I do not know Jesus and I never talk about him or whatever so why this dream? Finally, in my religion, he was a prophet, but I never dwelt on him. So I decided to let it go because I thought it was absurd and I rarely dream (it's one of the only ones I remember).
September I'm much better (thank goodness), I was not at the pinnacle of trust and I'm not but I thought about my dream and it really intrigued me I was asking a lot of questions. So I started doing some (not to say much) research on Jesus, Christianity, the Bible and I learned many things that I did not know about him and the Christian religion, I was surprised because I did not think that Christianity was "like that". I admit that I felt bad to inquire about it but I needed it I do not know why. Recently I began to read a few verses from the Bible on the internet and I would lie to you if I said that I did not feel anything by reading ... they made me smile and felt like I felt better, As if I was comforted .. well not really but it's weird to explain but I felt really good see you? This is the first time I feel this for a religious book, it has even happened to me to cry while reading! So I read the Bible on the internet while continuing to practice the Muslim religion ... but I have the impression that it does not correspond to me or more. I would like to go to a church or talk to a man of religion to be enlightened but I am afraid and I am very very shy ... In a family like mine, how to talk about it? If I do, it will be said that I am possessed by an evil spirit, that I have become mad when I am well aware of it. If I do, I will put all my family, my community back is really the worst thing I can do to my family especially as I am a woman ... But I do not want to hurt them , I would like so much to my parents. This situation makes me so sad, I'm stuck, sometimes I think of suicide as a loophole but I know it's a great sin ...
I need help, confidence to be reassured and hope that I can find it here and that you can bring me answers with respect, retreat and tolerance. Thank you very much for reading and God protecting you.

What I would like is for everyone to join me in prayer for this girl that she may find her way into the Catholic Church.

  • I'll offer prayers for this Muslim girl, that she doesn't give up hope, and that she finds her way to the Catholic Church. It can be very difficult and dangerous for a Muslim to convert - she would probably have to leave her family behind.

  • Jacqueline,

You provided quotes from Sacred Scripture (from a Protestant bible), from St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans, so I'd like to provide those same quotes from a Catholic Bible.

The quotes I'll be providing are taken from the Douay-Rheims bible, Challoner version. Bishop Challoner translated the bible into English in the 18th century, from the original Latin which St. Jerome had translated from the original Hebrew and Greek in the 4th century. St. Jerome's translation has been used in the Western Church for 1500 years. St. Jerome was a linguistic genius who was fluent in Latin, Greek, and Hebrew.

Bishop Challoner included notes, or rather, commentary interpretations of the chapters, and of certain verses. Here are the verses you provided, but from the Douay Rheims bible:

    To the Romans, 3:23:

"For all have sinned, and do need the glory of God."

Bishop Challoner describes Chapter three as thus: "The advantages of the Jews. All men are sinners, and none can be justified by the works of the law: but only by the grace of Christ."

This essentially means, I believe, that St. Paul is saying that the Jews cannot be saved by only adhering to the law, but rather they must have the grace of Christ.

    To the Romans, 10:9,10:

"9) "For if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10) "For, with thy heart, we believe unto justice; but, with thy mouth, confession is made unto salvation."

Bishop Challoner describes chapter 10 as..."The end of the law is faith in Christ; which the Jews, refusing to submit to, cannot be justified." Bishop Challoner also writes specifically about verse 9:

"Thou shalt be saved. To confess Lord Jesus, and to call upon the name of the Lord (verse13) is not barely the professing a belief in the person of Christ; but, moreover, implies a belief in his whole doctrine, and an obedience to his law; without which, the calling him Lord will save no man (St. Matt. 7,21)."

So, Bishop Challoner is saying that we must believe in Christ's whole doctrine, and this is described in St. Matthew, Chapter 7 and 21.

It is only the Catholic Church which teaches Our Lord's entire doctrine; there is no other that does so. Though the Catholic Church for the last 50 years or so has been somewhat negligent in this duty to teach Our Lord's entire doctrine. That's why we Traditional Catholics strive to adhere to all that the Church used to teach...which Our Lord wants us to do.
