I tried to get on CathInfo today during lunch at school, and it is now blocked under the "Adult Language" category!

I'd love to know ONE child in his (Freshman? Sophomore?) class who doesn't hear swear words on a daily basis (besides Vladimir, of course!)

I know I'm unusual for not watching TV/movies, but the fact is that over 99% of Americans own (and use) a TV set regularly.

The networks don't even censor minor swear words on television anymore. And any non-Disney movie is going to have swearing in it.

It seems ridiculous, to me, to censor content seen by public school kids -- so they won't see an "F-bomb" and have to naively ask, "what does f*** mean?" In a small, religious private school maybe. But at public school, that's how the KIDS talk!

Do you have access to a computer lab during lunch? When I was in high school last year, I was taking a web design course, so I could just hang out in there during lunch. Considering I had four college level classes to take, that really saved my rear end.

The "N" word has been in a title for some time and that alone is enough to get blocked. I'm not the only one who has been wondering when the other shoe was going to fall.

Not to mention Matthew's own "How To" posting on that explosive subject.

Was that supposed to be a sting operation or what? Irresponsible at best. Sinister at worst. Was it intended to inspire action or to get innocent computers flagged for review?

One can only scratch one's head and wonder. Those of us with enough history online to have such links appear in context are not worried about being flagged, but young men are demographically targetted.

It is also more than a little weird to see the invitation to adults to come in here and act like teens. Again, an irresponsible sting attempt, or targetted marketing?

Only Matthew and Mater know for sure.

littlerose, I can't understand your signature. FE is a good website for sexology and learning about video games and diappers. Things we share with all pagans, I wonder why it should be called catholic, while calling it a moslem or jew forum is equally appropriate.
Two kinds of things are kept hidden, things that are too precious and things that are too useless/dirty.
If The Church or our natural sense of modesty tell us to keep "marriage things" hidden, it is because this is too precious to be a pubilc daily talk, not because we think it is dirty (as liberals accuse us).
We don't want to reduce human procreation to a vegtable that is found in every greengrocer's shop and is touched and seen by any passer-by.

Spouse, there are plenty of excellent discussions at F-E and the puritanical side that is reflected here is not part of Catholicism. You are living in a culture that covers women in tents and cloaims we don't even have souls, and you might not have the full picture to be able to see that the "sedes" are not Catholic., They are anti-catholic. They are trying to create a Catholic Taliban, including the violence.

Many cultures respect women and do not have purely sɛҳuąƖ thoughts about the human body, especially women's bodies. Modesty in most countries is reasonable, but only Muslims think a woman's face is dirty. That is a sinful level of hate, and CM and the other men are attacking women in this forum with the ridiculous demand that we must always have sex under the pretext that they are against "NFP" which is fully supported by the catholic church. Matthew has allowed this to go on continuously, and Mater has supported them, showing that they both know they are running an anti-Catholic hate site. They are trying to create a monstrous Taliban-like culture in this formerly free country.

Catholics of many cultures from Irish to French to Polish know better than that. Traditional Catholic teachings are not like the Taliban, and are not anti-women.

The young men who dominate the posting here are mostly not even Catholic. They say so right openly when they separate themselves from every Catholic teaching, and I know you have seen it. They do not acknowledge the Pope, and they hate women as much as the Muslims do. They are at war with those of us who respect the Catholic Church even while we struggle with the heresy that has invaded it.

Spouse of Jesus, Mater herself told me in a post that this is a "sede" site when I was criticizing Raoul, who is next to CM one of the most hateful anti-catholics I've seen. The "Sedes" are violent and racist liars. You do not have to support Israel and the zionists to recognize that WWII really did happen including the attemtpted genocide of the Jews. The fact that ever since the end of WWII the surviving Jews have exploited that tragedy to attack the very people who rescued them does not change history.

In the past few weeks, Spouse, Matthew has been letting this board go out of control and he has posted a link to a site inviting people to make bombs. Haven't you seen that?

Fish-Eaters has a wide range of threads and a responsible level of management, and unlike this forum, it is a Traditional Catholic forum.

subtle, yes, but the overall tone is to support the anti-Catholic sedes in that remark, and Matthew never stops them from hijacking threads with their endless petty "hereticizing". He is allowing them to make sure no one can discuss anything they don't want to control.

At least that it isn't under the category of "Hate" or something like that. The thing is that I'm not sure whether the system automatically blocks certain sites, or if its done manually. CathInfo was never blocked until last month. Youtube isn't even blocked!

The sedes may have it all wrong, but I wouldn't say they are not Catholic. They believe in all the truths of the Catholic Church, including the papacy. It is not their fault that they are led astray and believe there is no current Pope. It is the fault of the post Vatican II hierarchy that has caused confusion because of their unCatholic beliefs and actions. I think God will put the blame on the VII hierarchy for sedes believing what they believe. The shepard is struck and the sheep scatter and that is what has happened.

I would like to know what countries do not have purely sɛҳuąƖ thoughts about women and where modesty is reasonable - I know of no such countries (other than Muslim countries where women are modestly dressed - although, I admit, it is to the extreme).

I don't see Raoul or CM as hating women. They are against NFP 100%. That does not mean they hate women. You only see hate because of your extreme outrage and anger at what they believe in.

Yes, I do admit tha the sedes have gotten more of a control on this website. However, it is not the fault of Matthew for the direction this website has taken. There are just as many non-sede members but they aren't posting as much as the sedes are.

I agree that Matthew shouldn't have posted the bomb making video because the info. could fall in the wrong hands. But that doesn't mean he has let this website get out of hand. We all have been guilty of not doing the smartest thing at one time or other. He just made an innocent error of judgement - he is only human.

You accuse Raoul and CM of being unCatholic but I wish to point out that you yourself have said unCatholic things - such as claiming that Mary was not a perpetual virgin.
