  • I don't remember what thread it was in. Maybe somebody else remembers.

In that post, Hobbeldehoy shared with us the lines he used to get imodest girls to quit talking to him. It made me laugh pretty hard. And even a couple days after that, i'd remember what he said and crack up.
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

I hope God does not let this man get into any real position of power, it would be a nightmare.

It was something to the effect of "Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom, I have really bad diarrhea"

Example: A nice but immodestly dressed girl walks up to you and tries to befriend you. One sentence can solve this problem: "I may have diarrhea, excuse me" [for all you know, you might: after all, you are not a doctor]; "My mother would never wear that"; or even, "I am awkward: go away." That last one always worked for me! And it still does...

It was on this thread: http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php/I-knew-college-was-an-EVEN-WORSE-idea-than-I-could-have-ever-imagined

Another way to scare away an occasion of sin would be shouting frantically, "Did... did... did you just hear that!? Did you hear that!!?" And just run away all scared like. She will either think you saw a ghost, you took too much cough syrup, you're insane, &c.: in any case, occasion of sin would be averted.

Or bring up Area-51, Roswell, Derenberger & Indrid Cold, &c. Usually that stuff creeps a girl away.
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.

Haha. Yes, that's the one! page 9 if you people want to check it out.

Though I have no clue what Area-51, Roswell, Derenberger & Indrid Cold are.

Hmm, then my bringing up those subjects may not creep you out.

Maybe if I mention the Toynbee Tiles?

Oh, I know... I'll have ya listen to this:

  • I like the one that used "Boiler Room Theology" to describe a new user
that since been expelled from CI for inventing in his head un Catholic
ideas and make believe theology that has been condemned by the
    Church.
He would not listen to reason and why he was wrong. Eventually
after repeated warnings,  He was kicked out of CI.

Ah Hobbles, the only other person I know of who'd know about the Toynbee Tiles.

If you mentioned Toynbee Tiles you'd receive a blank expression. I have no idea about that either.

But thanks to you and SS I now know all i'd like to know about area 51. Listening to that sound clip right before bed probably wasn't the best idea I've ever had.

I'm thinking of making my own, but dunno what to put on them. Maybe that should be the subject of another thread...

  • I got a kick out of this:

    Quote from: clare
Pope Pius XII, with the Harlem Globetrotters, and some apparently indecently dressed women, 1952:

    Quote from: Telesphorus
Leave it to Clare to find a picture of the Pope with the Harlem globetrotters.

You must have watched a lot of Scooby Doo as a child.

And I still don't get the Scooby Doo reference.

I'm sure it's very funny, though, to those who do understand it, and therefore must have watched more Scooby Doo than I did!!  :dancing:

I think he means the fact that The Harlem Globetrotters appeared in "Scooby Doo" several times.
