I completely side with the authorities in this case, and I would harshly criticize the IDIOTS that insist on congregating in large groups, ignoring 6-10 foot social distancing guidelines, during this PANDEMIC. If it was to attend Mass I would give them a pass. But it wasn't. They're treating this quarantine like a big vacation.

For someone who just castigated over half of the human race for being overly emotional, this post is shot through with emotion, Matthew.  I still do NOT know anyone personally, despite having (unwisely?) posted on FB the very same thing I did on here; namely, I stated that not only did I not know anyone with CV, I did not know anyone who knew anyone.  You know what I got from my 1000+ friends and their 1000x1000 friends?  Nothing.  A co-worker's uncle...a college roommate's sister...a bunch of nothing.  Got about the same here.

Although many of the CI folks don't buy the MSM story, I have not seen anyone say that no one is even really sick at all...a la a complete hoax.  We naturally doubt an official story that has no truly verifiable evidence to support it, at least as of now. It isn't hard to deny that bodies are "piling up" because there isn't a shred of solid evidence (outside of MSM and Machine sources) that these numbers off ill or dead are legit or that bodies are, in fact, piling up.  As for 20 million Chinese cell phones, etc., maybe the murderous bastards who run China just decided to do a little housecleaning and the present chaos provided the perfect opportunity to off some irksome loudmouths.  Kinda harmonizes with the Commie MO of the last 100+ years, no?  Or maybe the millions of migrant workers who make use of multiple phones as they travel are not using a second one while they cannot migrate for work?

For my part, I am totally down with the (accidentally released?) bio-weapon idea, but your arguments here are full of holes and oozing emotion.  This is NOT to chastise you, for these are extremely trying days and we are all on edge (and I'd imagine having a large family to provide for only adds to the natural stress of this situation).  My way of making a living is gone and will probably never come back.  We just "involuntarily" took in a rescue dog that no one knew was preggo...and she had NINE puppies!  My food bills are actually getting larger as I am staring financial oblivion in the face.  However, God is still God and His will is adorable and perfect.  Hopefully we will find homes for the puppies (Lab-Vizsla-Pit mix...super cute, hint hint), but that's just one out of countless things that are out of my control.

Maybe I completely misread your intended message, but my take away was "Wake up and smell the Drano, people! I am saying that a high school friend's coworker's uncle is still not exactly within my not-small circle.  What is more, verifying that such a twice- or thrice-removed associate actually has an illness that is apparently not crystal clear either in its symptoms or in the tests of said symptoms isn't going to convince me of much of anything.  Even if it is 100% granted that a certain person is sick with a new illness, so what?  There is massive reason to doubt the tests themselves, the methods used to administer them, the results, the actual cause of death in the cases where death is the (reported) result, etc.

In Mel Brooks' Spaceballs, there is a line about an uncle's cousin's former roommate, or something along those lines.  The dialog revolved around the connection of said person the character speaking at the time (the Darth Vader-ish fella played by Rick Moranis).  Anyway, it was asked, "Well, what does that make us?"  The reply was "Absolutely nothing."  

People are obviously sick at varying levels, but it does not seem that this virus has a high death rate, or even a high sickness rate even in Italy. The AI statistics are attributing most deaths from other causes to corona virus. Last year in the same week 11,000 people died in the UK. This year a bit over 11,000 deaths in the UK same week. They are attributing anyone who has tested positive who dies with Coronavirus as the cause, even if they have end stage cancer or other terminal illnesses.
  A person testing positive is unreliable, and is only testing for Corona virus period, of which there are thousands, many totally inert or common cold type that always live in our bodies . The test does not determine viral load which would indicate actual illness. 
Get ready, because even after this blows over, (which I hope it does) Lockdown will be the standard response for any flu or any other disease they want to drag out along with forced vaccinations due to fake herd immunity.THIS is the great sea change, not the virus.
I am seeing reports from barely known celebrities who were tested while fairly healthy(?) and three days later are dead. I'm sorry, but before this virus , if this person died I would have never heard hide nor hair about this person. Could they just be picking people about to die and labeling them with corona virus? I think so.

I appreciate that Gladius is 100% on the "it's a hoax" scale during these times of confusion -- no doubt due to his present employment status thanks to this lockdown. I understand. I'd probably feel the same way if I were in his shoes.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, since there is only so much information out there. I'm waiting for clues to appear (hint: there are already a few -- see my other post) so I can "get to the bottom" of this mystery.

There are good Catholics on both extremes -- those hiding in their bunkers right now, and those who think the COVID virus doesn't even exist -- and plenty of positions in-between.

The truth will out EVENTUALLY, especially if we keep our eyes open and desire the truth. But you can't trust the untrustworthy, like the MSM. Everything they promote must be taken with a salt lick, not just a grain of salt. They lie more often than not. That's the problem we face.

A few things to keep in mind:

1. There aren't enough deaths (or "deaths") from COVID yet to allow each person to know someone personally who died from it. Especially when a disproportionate number were in New York City. Not everyone has connections to NYC. Simply not enough deaths have occurred for everyone to have only "1 degree of separation" between themselves and a Coronavirus victim.

2. Even if there are deaths, they could have occurred from the Flu, pneumonia, or some other disease.

3. There is NO SUCH THING as a COVID-19 test. All the tests in existence apparently can only test for a CORONA-SHAPED VIRUS, end of description. But there are countless CORONA-shape viruses out there -- including those with cause minimal or no symptoms. Sound familiar?
Is there any evidence or suggestion, much less proof, that this is not the case? Please teach me.
