Dwight D. Eisenhower’s Dec. 6, 1959, meeting set the pattern presidents have followed ever since: Every chief executive has met at least once with the pope.
Reporters entered the room to find the president, the pope and some of their closest aides “roaring with laughter,” according to Gen. Vernon Walters, a U.S. military adviser.
Why? The Italian-born pope had observed that he spoke French, Bulgarian and Turkish but struggled with his English lessons. Eisenhower asked how the effort was going. The pope replied: “The more I study English, the more I realize that papal infallibility does not cover pronunciation.”

There is a story about Cardinal Gibbons. He got off a baot just after a trip to Rome and one of the reporters who met him at the dock asked him how everything went and if he really believed in the infallibility of the pope. Cardinal Gibbons replied, "When we met he called me jibbens."

Obama said that he and the Pope did not discuss their differences.
That means the Pope refused to speak on behalf of the 3300+ babies murdered in the USA on that day. Over 50 000 000 babies murdered in the USA in just over 40 years and the Pope meets with the self proclaimed "Planned Parenthood President" and Pope Francis simply grins for a photo op ?
Maybe Obama and Pope Francis really have no differences to speak of ?

They have differences, but it would have been useless to bring it up.
