1950’s TV dinners and supermarkets were popular. 

Late 1980’s, there were changes in USA on how people ate especially after divorce everywhere and women entering workforce instead of staying home preparing meals. 

1980’s portion sizes grew rapidly.

These meals could easily feed two or three people, possibly more than that.

They actually do, in my household.

This is why so many Americans are FAT.  ...  Gluttony is a real problem in America.

Well, actually, the people who are 100 lbs. overweight are just prepping for the upcoming famine.  That's enough excess calories to let you live 150-200 days without food.
