Neil, it is obvious that you are extremely busy, but, when feasible, could you explain the cause/effect section in this video so that I can reproduce it as from you? Many thanks. Just when feasible.
I'm not really sure what you mean by "the cause/effect section"
because this interview is laden with cause/effect relationships on
several levels. Curiously, I did not realize that fact until I tried
to answer your question. This might be an open door to
understanding how this crisis is affecting the way Catholics think.
So, while I was at first a bit annoyed with your request, Elsa, now
after having given it due concern I am instead appreciative of your
question. How do you like
them apples???
Video interview by
Pablo. t. Mex'can on the Resistance.
The material in this video, I find,
is rather over the head of
NovusOrdo Catholics, and it is also curiously bewildering to
sedevacantists. I find this fact extremely noteworthy. Whether you
have cut yourself off from the Church by way of going along with the
unclean spirit of Vat.II, or you have made your faith acephalous by
rejecting the visibility of the pope, you make yourself unable to
comprehend the essence of our current crisis in the Church.
This should not be ignored.
The Faith has been put at stake with these false compromises with
Rome and changing the doctrine - ABL quoted by Fr. Hewko.
Fr. Pfeiffer:
ABL founded a seminary to fight this advancement of Liberalism.
The SSPX seminary has been the essential entity in this fight,
against the new direction and new theology of the ExSPX, even
before the new direction came to the surface, but now the latter
has become prominent, and the former is being undermined and
suppressed. Therefore, a new seminary is necessary.
This new direction of the ExSPX includes the following errors:
~ The Newmass was "legitmately promulgated."
~ Vatican II enlightens and deepens the teachings of the past,
which is false.
~ Tradition must be understood in the light of Vat.II and
Vat.II must be understood in the light of tradition in such a
way that there are no errors in the Council, when we know
there are in fact errors in the Council.
~ The Newcode of canon law must be accepted in all its
ecclesiastical laws, not only its disciplinary laws.
The Resistance is SSPX priests standing up to Society leadership
telling them that this new direction is
CAUSING the loss of souls,
and it constitutes a corruption of the Faith of Catholics.
The Resistance has
CAUSED a retreat of the Menzingen-denizens,
and they have attempted to REGROUP with adjustments to their
strategy to keep moving forward.
There has been a "stepping back" recently by +Fellay, including
him telling some nuns that he never intended to have a 'deal' with
Rome, even though last year he had said just the opposite.
The new declaration has the new doctrine in it, not the old doctrine.
[He's referring to the Silver Anniversary Re-Declaration, or SARD]
10:30 begins an abbreviated, detailed commentary on the SARD.
#3 When you first see this you think these Menzingen-denizens
are opposing the error of Vat.II, but in fact it is the contradiction of
this, because of the phrase, "the
cause of the errors by virtue
of a choice." [Words of Fr. Pfeiffer]
[Elsa- if this is the part you're talking about, let me know, and I'll
transcribe this section and offer my comments as well.]
If this were given as an answer on an English test, the author would
be given an "F."
#6 Religious liberty,
Dignitatis Humanae, leads to demanding God
made man renouncing his reign. This is absolutely false. Religious
liberty does not "lead to" this, it IS this. Religious liberty is one and
the same as demanding that Christ is not King. #6 is arguably heretical.
The Church today is guided by human prudence and self-doubt. This
is false. It is not a human, naturalistic explanation that a bishop should
be giving here, but rather it should be a demonic and spiritual
explanation. That is, the
CAUSE of Our Lord being "uncrowned" is not
described adequately in a natural sense
but in a preternatural
sense. [My words, not Fr. Pfeiffer's]
#11 One should not give a statement like this without any example.
We
"intend" to do the same -- not we ARE doing the same.
This is very grave, because it says we are waiting for Rome to convert,
or else we are waiting for Rome allow us to be Catholic. IOW we still
want an agreement with Rome, even without Rome first converting.
St. Jerome said, If everyone listens, I will preach the truth. If few listen,
I will preach the truth. If no one listens, I will preach the truth. Because
when I go to my particular judgment, God will ask me if I preached the
truth, not if anyone paid attention. I am responsible for my preaching.
You are responsible for listening. You are the Church receiving, and I
am the Church teaching. [This is not a quote.]
Fr. Hewko (asked for words of comfort for the sheepfold who are lost
or discoraged in these times):
As Fr. Pfeiffer pointed out, the diabolical disorientation that the Virgin
Mary foretold would affect the Church, she is the only one that can help
us. She told that to Sister Lucia. She is our last hope. So, she gave us
our weapons, the daily Rosary, the Brown Scapular; we should be very
devoted to these -- and to be anchored in the Faith. Know well our
catechism, especially the Council of Trent, the Catechism of St. Pius X,
the Baltimore Catechism; and also, read. Do your homework on this
crisis in the Church, and read the Archbishop's writings, especially
They Have Uncrowned Him. That goes into the engine of the
problem; it condemns religious liberty. It's clear that religious liberty
is a direct attack against Christ himself. That's why Catholics have to
rise up to defend the faith. And this is duty by our first Commandments,
duty by our Baptism. And with the help of God and the Virgin Mary,
we will do what we are supposed to do right now. [And perhaps it is
not our place to see victory now] which is maybe not to see victory,
but certainly to do combat, to fight in the trenches. Victory is in God's
hands! It's for us to fight now, as St. Joan of Arc said.
[I added a few words in brackets because I think I know what Fr.
Hewko intends to say here but his mind is really moving faster than
his speech can keep up with it, so sometimes words get dropped
and his sentences are not entirely complete, but the thought is there.]
I hope that helps, Elsa Zardini. I might be able to come back to this.
It is an interesting topic to analyze. Fr. Pfeiffer and Hewko, as usual,
give very deep messages that are not easily understood the first time
we hear them. This has become a great blessing to have these
recordings that we can play back several times to pay close attention
to the nuances.
