It seems to me that Americans who do not really know anything
about Bishop Richard Williamson, need to hear this sermon.
But they are not going to "ENJOY" it!

+W takes on the topic of religious liberty, ironically, on the national
feast day of freedom of religion. (Actually, the video was posted on
July 4th, but is labeled April 3rd, but that seems to be a mistake
because this is for St. Irenaeus, whose feast day is June 28th, which
fell on a Friday this year. This was the day before H.E.'s silver
anniversary in Virginia, Saturday, June 29th., so, if this sermon was
in fact given on Friday, H.E. was "warming up" to his weekend of
conferences, sermons and speeches, which were remarkable.)
Modern man wants to think that whether someone believes that
Jesus is God or alternatively, that Jesus is not God, is all right.
It's all good!
Modern man wants to think that technology is more trustworthy
than right reason and the truth of God.
God established the laws of aerodynamics, but modern man thinks
that religion is based on man's feelings. If an aeronautical engineer
wants to ignore the laws of flight to satisfy his own whims, he will
not have a career, but anyone can ignore the laws of right reason
in so-called religion and "it's all good!" ........NOT!
The loss of reality is the great problem of today. It's very real and
very dangerous for the salvation of souls.
Vatican II was the GOO finally getting into the Catholic Church.
Now Catholics are all going crazy and gooey. It's all luv, luv, luv,
because that's all they've got left. Let's all have a good, fun time.
That's not the Catholic religion.

With Vatican II we had a remnant; now we've got a remnant of
a remnant. If Vat.II cut the number of Catholics who take their
religion seriously down from let's say, 100% to let's say --
I don't know what it was, 2%, now we're cutting the 2%
down to 2% of 2% -- I don't know what that is, I have to work
it out according to the LAWS of mathematics, without
contradiction. Two percent of two percent: it's a FRACTION
of 1%. It's very, very little. But it's not a question of numbers,
it's a question of truth...
Answer: 2% of 2% = 2% x 2% = 0.02 x 0.02 = 0.0004
That is, four ten-thousandths, IOW out of ten thousand
people, only four of them would remain Catholic. There
is nothing new under the sun, for St. Jerome said that one
out of 100,000 would be saved.
I find this moment rather charming, actually. It proves to me that
+W is not using a canned talk. He no doubt prepared this sermon,
but he did not obviously work out all the details. He walked right
into this somewhat of a trap, of using arithmetic in an example of
what has happened in the Church, but he did not anticipate the
need to have thought about the multiplication of 0.02 x 0.02,
which is essential to the point he is making. HOWEVER, he does
not make the mistake of presuming to use an answer that he is
not sure of, but rather defers it for later.
I expect that he is not going to make the mistake of forgetting to
check this fact out before trying to use this multiplication problem
again in a future sermon!!
The devil knows the importance of doctrine... if souls don't know
the importance of doctrine, how can they know the way to heaven?
If an angel comes down from heaven and teaches a doctrine that
is different from what I have taught you, throw him out!
Don't just pay, pray and obey. Don't listen to priests who tell you
that these questions are not for the laity and are only for priests!
Nonsense! It is the job of the laity to keep their priests under
observation. Sorry to have to say that.
Love of the truth is the love of doctrine, which is the true gift of God.
It's only by faith that we grasp the higher doctrines of the Church.
When he's lost his head he's adrift - and now the leaders of the
Society, their minds are gone, so they're adrift.
Feast day of St. Irenaeus, Bishop and martyr, June 28th. July 4th,
2013 is a ferial day within the octave of St. Peter and Paul (June
29th) but it would also be a day within the octave of St. Irenaeus
(June 28th), however, St. Irenaeus apparently does not have any
octave on the calendar, being a double.
On page 1271 of the St. Andrew's Missal is found these words:
St. Irenaeus "has been called the father of the Catholic theology, and
the golden link binding the spirit of the Gospel to the doctrine of the
Fathers... he was the first to write a reasoned summary of our faith."
