Very good sermon.
This is the core quote of this sermon:
28:35
In an interview that was released last week, Fr. Rostand was asked the question:
What do we mean by "the conversion of Rome?"
And a priest of the holy Church, what does he say?
I think what we mean by the conversion of Rome...
Let me just read it here...get my bag over there...no the other bag, the other one..
It's the interview... what do we mean by the conversion of Rome. It's the transcript
of the interview, a 4-part interview with the beautiful music in the beginning...
On the year 2012 in Review, Fr. Rostand interviewed by ... let's see here ...
unity of strength ... (flips pages) ... where is it? Okay, so:
"Why then has the Society in the past spoken of the 'conversion of Rome'?"
So here's Fr. Rostand, going to describe what 'conversion' is. Fr. Rostand:
"I think it is a question of prudence. The General Chapter discussed for a long
time on what do we mean by 'conversion of Rome'."
These are 40 priests! Not 40 people who are not Catholics, not 40 people who
are newly baptized and never did catechism; 40 priests! Not only 40 priests,
but 40 priests that are SUPERIORS in the Society of St. Pius X, three of them
are BISHOPS!
"The General Chapter discussed for a long time on what do we mean by the
'conversion of Rome'. Well, I think it means mostly.."
Imagine you [ask] a kid, "Who made you?" He says, "I think it means mostly..."
He's not going to get his First Communion. (chuckle from audience)
"..Well, I think it means mostly, that tradition would be supported enough to
continue its growth and to be able to continue to work."
Catechism question:
"What do we mean by 'conversion of Rome'?"
Answer:
"I think it means mostly, that tradition would be
supported enough to continue its growth and to
be able to continue to work."
A PRIEST ----- WHO DOESN'T KNOW
WHAT CONVERSION MEANS!!
31:35
A priest from Latin America told Fr. Pfeiffer recently,
(I suspect it was either Fr. Juan Carlos Ortiz, FSSPX (Columbia) or else
Fr. Ernesto Cardozo, FSSPX (Argentina), who was present in Brazil, but he
did not say any name)
that you shouldn't worry if there is a quiet time, when nothing new is coming
out showing any movement, because these leaders of the SSPX have already
made their decision to abandon the principles that were handed down to us
from Archbishop Lefebvre, so it's just a matter of time before they say
something else stupid. They have committed themselves to saying stupid
things, so give them time and they will say more stupid things.

Fr. hits the ground running in this great sermon.
GREAT SERMON. Let it be written. And so it is done.
Excerpt:
...
It's a good idea to read the propers, that is the Mass prayers, for the daily Mass
every day in Lent, even if you can't get to Mass, because this is the only time of
the year when there's a different, beautiful Mass every single day, during Lent, for
the education, formation and sanctification of the soul.
You know, we're supposed to be holy every day, we're supposed to be strong
every day, but the season of the strengthening of the soul is the season of Lent.
This is the time when there is a special strengthening of the soul. And today, it's
interesting in the Gospel of St. Mark, and Our Lord walking across the water, and
then getting into the boat. And they were disturbed when they saw Christ walking
across the water. And St. Mark doesn't mention about St. Peter getting out of the
boat... and when Our Lord got into the boat, the storm ceased...
We can apply this to our own situation today in the Catholic Church ... there is a
great storm in the Church. And it seems Christ is outside of the boat, and when
he steps into the boat, there will be calm ... and we are afraid ... when we see him
outside the boat of our souls, we see him 'in the water', we think it is a ghost ...
but after the Apostles let Christ into the boat and the boat arrives on the other
shore, there are many miracles, thousands cured, everyone who touches the hem
of his garment is cured of disease ... The boat of our Church, it is the ark of
salvation, but there can be no salvation, there can be no hope, there can be no
peace in this boat without Christ. And there may be times when Christ is outside
of the boat, or he seems to be, and we have to call him to come in to the boat, or
we may even have to go out of the boat like St. Peter did to go after Christ, to go
to Christ.
One of the dangers that can happen, as this boat of the Church moves across
the sea of this world, we may begin to believe that the boat, the institution, the
organization, is more important than Christ. When we forget that Holy Mother
the Church is not an institution, we look at it as an organization, but it is not. It
is the Mystical Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ ... the body of the Church may
experience the same things in a different way, in a similar way ... and right now
the Church is being attacked on all sides. And now we have a time in the history
of the Church when the 'apostles' and 'Peter' are not calling Christ, are not going
after Christ... This is the grave problem of the whole Vatican II crisis, that we are
looking for another solution, instead of getting Christ inside of the boat.
And that solution is: This boat is rejected by the world, and there is a storm.
And why is there a storm? Why do they hate the Catholic Church? They hate
the Catholic Church because it's too strict, because it's too Catholic. And the
world will LOVE the Church ... IF WE DON'T OVEREMPHASIZE JESUS
CHRIST AND HIS KINGSHIP!
We have Pope Benedict XVI resigning ... he's going to write popular books, signed
'Joseph Ratzinger, not Pope' to show his humility. This kind of humility is not of
God. This kind of humility is DEMONIC. [example of cop not doing his job] ...
The way the Pope and the cop must act, is when they see the innocent attacked,
when they see the evil preached, and when they see the wickedness spread, they
must condemn boldly the enemies. The enemies should be absolutely terrified.
When Rome was being attacked ... St. Leo the Great walked out of the gates, and
he went to Attila the Hun and he said, "You leave Rome alone!" And Attila, who
was afraid of no one, was terrified -- as white as a sheet. And he did not attack
Rome. When the other Huns asked him, 'Why did you not attack that little monk
in a habit?' he said, "I saw the ANGEL on a HORSE with a FLAMING SWORD
above the little Pope ... and I will not attack that city because that angel will
destroy me."

This sermon contains deeper material on topics that came up in previous
conferences.
For example, the part about the re-definition of conversion of Rome was touched
on during the December conference in Boston KY, 12-12-29.doc (http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php?a=topic&t=22331&min=20#p0).
