Very good sermon.
This is the core quote of this sermon:
28:35
In an interview that was released last week, Fr. Rostand was asked the question:
What do we mean by "the conversion of Rome?"
And a priest of the holy Church, what does he say?
I think what we mean by the conversion of Rome...
Let me just read it here...get my bag over there...no the other bag, the other one..
It's the interview... what do we mean by the conversion of Rome. It's the transcript
of the interview, a 4-part interview with the beautiful music in the beginning...
On the year 2012 in Review, Fr. Rostand interviewed by ... let's see here ...
unity of strength ... (flips pages) ... where is it? Okay, so:
"Why then has the Society in the past spoken of the 'conversion of Rome'?"
So here's Fr. Rostand, going to describe what 'conversion' is. Fr. Rostand:
"I think it is a question of prudence. The General Chapter discussed for a long
time on what do we mean by 'conversion of Rome'." These are 40 priests! Not 40 people who are not Catholics, not 40 people who
are newly baptized and never did catechism; 40 priests! Not only 40 priests,
but 40 priests that are SUPERIORS in the Society of St. Pius X, three of them
are BISHOPS!
"The General Chapter discussed for a long time on what do we mean by the
'conversion of Rome'.
Well, I think it means mostly.." Imagine you [ask] a kid, "Who made you?" He says, "I think it means mostly..."
He's not going to get his First Communion. (chuckle from audience)
"..Well, I think it means mostly,
that tradition would be supported enough to
continue its growth and to be able to continue to work." Catechism question:
"What do we mean by 'conversion of Rome'?"
Answer:
"I think it means mostly, that tradition would be
supported enough to continue its growth and to
be able to continue to work."
A PRIEST ----- WHO DOESN'T KNOW
WHAT CONVERSION MEANS!! 31:35
A priest from Latin America told Fr. Pfeiffer recently,
(I suspect it was either Fr. Juan Carlos Ortiz, FSSPX (Columbia) or else
Fr. Ernesto Cardozo, FSSPX (Argentina), who was present in Brazil, but he
did not say any name)
that you shouldn't worry if there is a quiet time, when nothing new is coming
out showing any movement, because these leaders of the SSPX have already
made their decision to abandon the principles that were handed down to us
from Archbishop Lefebvre, so it's just a matter of time before they say
something else stupid. They have committed themselves to saying stupid
things, so give them time and they will say more stupid things.
