September 7, 2025: Sermon, 13th Sunday After Pentecost.

SERMON SUMMARY: On the Gospel. 1-How God rewarded the Samaritan for His thanksgiving. It shows its importance. 2-Gifts of God to the General Population: Intellect and free will (as opposed to animals), rain, sunshine, water, plants, animals, etc. Those countries that suffer famine (etc) are being chastised by God for their Idolatry, which is ungratefulness towards God. Look also at the Supernatural gifts offered to mankind: The Revelation, Grace, the Church, etc. 3-Gifts of God to individuals: Consider what God has given you: Your parents, your Faith, the Sacraments you have received, the books you read, all other supernatural and material gifts. 4-We need to pay attention to God's Gifts: "Age Quod Agis". Consider how many people do not have what you have. Every heartbeat is a gift of God. 5-God blesses those who are grateful for His Gifts. Look at Abraham, Tobias, Job, the BVM, and so forth. 6-God curses those who are NOT grateful. Look at Adam, the Israelites after the Exodus from Egypt, the Jews at the time of Our Lord. 7-How to be grateful to God: Follow the example of the Samaritan:
A- "Age Quod Agis": Pay attention to His gifts, and do not delay your Thanksgiving. B- Remain humble. Recognize the Source of the Gifts and your unworthiness.
C- Praise the Lord in your hearts always, and sing His praises to others. Fructify the talents God gave you. 8-Let us be not like spoiled brats, but like good and loving children. It will make us happy and peaceful, and it will bring more blessings from God, like the Samaritan, who was rewarded with Health of his Soul, because he was grateful for the Health of his Body.
