Second Epistle Of Saint Paul To Timothy
3
[1] Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. [2] Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, [3] Without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, [4] Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God: [5] Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid.

"One day through the Rosary and the Scapular I will save the world."

Words spoken to St. Dominic by the Blessed Virgin Mary in the year 1208.

Maybe that is where we are at today:  "But let us pray to the Mother of God for some miracles of her Divine Son's mercy."

Quote from: Seraphim
Bishop Williamson said:

"Thus, like most politicians of the last 500 years, these SSPX leaders are talking to the right while walking to the left, because that is what a large number of people want, namely the appearance of Christianity without its substance."

Commentary:

1) Fr Pfeiffer was in town recently, and he used the imagery of a battering ram.

2) Once the battering ram impacts the door, it must be withdrawn, in order to ram again.

3) In this case, Menzingen holds the battering ram.

4) The ram itself is false obedience and practical accord.

5) But do not think because the ram is being pulled back, the siege is ending.

6) A battering ram must be pulled back before it can crash the gates again.

7) And if we seem to see a pulling back in Menzingen, should we deduce they have decided to abandon the siege?

8) Certainly not!

9) The only logical reason to do so would be if there were a conversion in Menzingen.

10) But since there has been no conversion in Menzingen, one must conclude that we are in the eye of he storm, awaiting the next crash of the battering ram.

11) Talking to the right, while walking to the left, indeed.

Interesting, Seraphim -- did this come from a talk or conference recently?  If so,
which one?  Please reference for the sake of new readers or future researchers!

And here is the crux-of-the-EC paragraph, IMHO:

Quote

What happened in the SSPX last spring, as Fr Chazal says, is that the mask came off, because the SSPX leadership must have calculated that the time had come for it to make its open move back into the mainstream Church. Alas for these leaders, there emerged between March and June enough resistance to block at the SSPX General Chapter in July any immediate attempt to join the Newchurch. And so from that Chapter onwards, the mask has gone back on.

Break --- one thing at a time...

Fr. Chazal is referenced.  He said the mask came off.  This alludes to the great
encyclical 129 years ago, Humanum genus of the venerable* Pope Leo
XIII, 20 April 1884, On Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ.  And as such, the Bishop and Fr. Chazal are
making the implication without having to say so, that what is going on with the
Menzingen-denizens is nothing short of complicity with the condemned methods
of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ!

We should recognize this!  It is very important.

*Pope Leo XIII deserves to be raised to Blessed, at least, but it is precisely due
to this encyclical of his
that the Freemasonic death-grip on the Vatican prevents
his due recognition, and INSTEAD we get the cause of John XXIII, Paul VI and JPII
in the nefarious works -- notice: they've skipped JPI.  Ever wonder why?

Quote

But liberals do not convert, short of a miracle of grace, because leftwardness is their real religion. That is why the SSPX leaders are surely waiting for the modern world, flesh and devil to continue their work of pulling SSPX clergy and laity to the left so that within a few years at most there will no longer be any significant resistance, as there was last summer, to the SSPX rejoining the Newchurch.

Quiz questions:

Q.1:  Why are the SSPX leaders surely waiting for the modern world, flesh and
devil to continue their work of pulling SSPX clergy and laity to the left?

A.1:  The answer is in two parts;  Firstly, because the real religion of Liberals is
leftwardness, and the world, flesh and devil do the dirty work of promoting this
false god of Liberalism;  and Secondly, the bad fruit of pulling the clergy and laity
to the left will yield the bad fruit in due season of there no longer being any
significant resistance, as there was last summer, to the SSPX rejoining Newchurch.

Q.2:  Why do Liberals not convert, short of a miracle of grace?

A.2:  Because leftwardness is their real religion.

Q.3:  Why does Bishop Williamson attribute the observation of removing the
mask to Fr. Chazal?

A.3:  Because the good bishop is a good bishop and he gives credit to where
credit is due, and he takes the baton of a good idea and he runs with it, as the
anchor runner in a relay does, to win the race for the whole team.

Q.4:  What does the "mask" observation have to do with our situation today?

A.4:  The relevance, my friends, will go right over the heads of Accordistas, who,
like Protestants to whom you attempt to explain the merit of good works or the
INFINITE grace of Sacramental Confession, they cannot recognize what is
happening to them as the Sun and Moon course across the sky, because they
are blind, being led by the blind, and they both fall into the pit.  But I digress..

The relevance is, that this "mask" to which Bishop and Father speak is none other
than the deception of the devil, which is why +Fellay was so secretive:  he fears,
and rightly so, the exposure of the truth, whereby his secret dealings will be
brought into the light of day for all to see.  He fears that the Catholic remnant,
among whom at least a portion of the SSPX Faithful are included, will become
apprised of what he has been up to in his secret Society dealings, pun intended.
One does not have to be a Freemason to behave like one.

There are a LOT more questions, and a LOT more answers.

But the good bishop puts down in one EC more that +Fellay
puts down in a lifetime
, and that is why +F wants the ECs to
stop:  he is envious of their POWER, because he covets ALL
power.  He may have forgotten to notice:

10. THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOR'S GOODS.

..........when in fact, all he has done by throwing a stupid tantrum over the
dissemination of these ECs is to bring more attention to them, for crying out loud!

I would laugh but it is not funny.  HA!   :soapbox:

Last week Fr. Hewko said that folks say "There is no deal.  Bishop Fellay said we are back to 1974". They don't understand why the SSPX-SO are sounding the alarm.  Are the overreacting?  Acting prematurely?

Father said "A deal is coming! It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when ".  He asked, If you knew a woman is going to have an abortion,  when do you beg her to reconsider, after the first week?  First month? First trimester?  The SSPX is heading down the path to abort all that the Archbishop founded.  It is never too soon to sound the alarm.  It is never too soon to beg for a change in direction.  He repeated that all the priest's who have left or have been expelled sound the alarm not b/c they are rebels but b/c they truly love the SSPX and do not want to see her abort the work of the Archbishop.

Just as Fr Pfeiffer said the battering ram is in the down swing, Fr Hewko said they have just stepped back to let the dust settle a bit.  Once they think the fog has lifted,  they'll continue the journey to abort the work of the Archbishop. He also spoke of those priest's who are "on the fence "  he asked hypothetically, "when will they stand up and yell NO, just before the actual abortion takes place (+Fellay sitting with pen in hand to sign an agreement? ) or perhaps they'll yell NO after the abortion is complete (docuмents signed)?  In both cases, by then it'll. Be too late!!  He urged everyone of us to pray for those priests.

Maybe indeed. Oramus!

This leaves the SSPX betwixt and between. However, as the common sense of Archbishop Lefebvre remarked, superiors mould subjects and not the other way round. That is why, unless the present SSPX leaders are displaced by a miracle, the SSPX is doomed to be dissolved within the Newchurch. One can hardly say the punishment would not have been deserved. But let us pray to the Mother of God for some miracles of her Divine Son's mercy.

Kyrie eleison

Betwixt and between:  Bishop Williamson is a scholar of English literature,
and this phrase harkens back to many a volume of forgotten lore.

The common sense of the Archbishop remarked.  That's a complete
sentence, and one fully packed with meaning.  For the words of the
Archbishop are as timeless as the sun itself:  "superiors mould the subjects
and not the other way round." (Perhaps, had ABL been an English scholar
he may have said it that way!)

He returns to the refrain oft touched upon
But not dwelt upon too often lest it be
Worn thin, threadbare - It's too precious of a thing
For such a fate - it may after all be one
And the same as our temporal redemption!

Displaced by a miracle......................

The punishment................................

..would not have been undeserved.....
