I don't know about all those reasons Sean gave. Let's just say that, as the owner/moderator, many of those reasons didn't enter into it. Let's just say, they didn't have to. I had much more basic reasons for banning him.

Here's my reason:

There's a difference between a pro-SSPX person, even a fervent one, even a vocal one, and the "Shill" in question. I don't want paid (or volunteer) shills, agents, agitators, or any other kind of operative on this board. It's a matter of principle.

And yes, he keeps re-joining, which is against the formal, written rules. When I ban someone, I expect them to stay gone.

But besides my prohibition on corporate agents, he also breaks another rule: he condemns the Resistance on this Resistance forum. So he's trolling as well as shilling. There are plenty of other forums where it's open season on the Resistance. CathInfo is not one of them. The Resistance is small and only has CathInfo for discussion. So I'm not going to allow people to call the 1st-class citizens here -- i.e. the Resistance -- "non-Catholic" or any other slurs.

Everyone other than SSPX Resistance (classic SSPX, Recognize and Resist) is here as a guest out of a spirit of charity and tolerance. But I expect the same in return.

If you let a homeless man into your house out of charity, and he started insulting you, harassing your wife, and pooping on the floor -- don't pretend you wouldn't kick him out.

If roles were reversed, Shill would do the same thing to me. Anyone pretending otherwise is out of his mind. If I came onto any SSPX forum and said the things about +Fellay that Shill has said about +Williamson, or said things against the SSPX like Shill has said about the Resistance, I would be gone.

Let's just say, they didn't have to spend a bunch of time finding and considering lots of reasons. I had much more basic reasons for banning him.

But for many reasons, let's just say The Shill is already on my crap list, and when HE is identified, he's gone.

I do have to make sure it's him. But yes, once it's him, he has a rap sheet -- so he's outta here.

Well, at least somebody like it  

In that interview with Bishop Williamson, the host mentioned that a leading Freemasonic organization in the U.S. also praised it.

A thought: when you consider that the people in dioceses who attend the Latin Mass are treated pretty badly by most clerics:

1. compromise with the New Mass because most places are required to say both liturgies

2. bad and inopportune times like a late afternoon Mass time

3. some get it weekly, others barely get it monthly

4. some don't get traditional rite Sacraments, others an outright ban...

Is anyone not surprised by this docuмent?

There's a large faction of Vatican bishops who if they could, would ban the Latin Mass permanently.
