BISHOP RICHARD WILLIAMSON HAS PASSED AWAY
Monsignor Richard Nelson Williamson was born in England on March 8, 1940.
In 1971 he converted from Anglicanism to Catholicism and the following year he entered the seminary of Econe (FSSPX).
In 1976 he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Lefebvre, the prelate raised up by God to guide us in the horrific crisis of the Church that began with the Second Vatican Council.
In 1988 he was consecrated bishop by Archbishop Lefebvre.
In 2012, Bishop Fellay expelled him from the FSSPX because he resolutely opposed the attempt of the leadership of the Society to make a practical agreement with liberal and apostate Rome.
He conferred the episcopate on Bishop Faure (2015), Bishop Thomas Aquinas (2016) and Bishop Zendejas (2017); ensuring, through these consecrations, the preservation of Archbishop Lefebvre's legacy, that is, the continuity of the holy war against liberalism and modernism prevailing in the Church from the fateful council.
Moved by his great love for the Church, he courageously defended, until his death, the sacred rights of Christ.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2Tim 4.7)
