  • Years ago I heard Father Robinson give several very stern sermons regarding modernism, does anyone know where he stands now with the SSPX poised to accept a place in the conciliar church with all its modernist innovations?

No, never heard anything about that.

So no one knows the answer?

    I'll repost my question here:

    Quote
Does anyone know when all the rotations will occur? I mean the new District Superior, any changing of leadership at local Priories, etc.

I heard August, but "August" covers a stretch of 31 days.

I'm kind of rusty as to when these rotations happen, as we've had the same priest for 9 years now.

I remember hearing that the changesn generally happen on the 15th.

First of all, when you mention "Fr. Robinson" and "SSPX" in the same sentence, you have to include a first name to disambiguate the two Fr. Robinsons in the Society.

Fr. Kevin Robinson (ordained sometime before 2006 -- perhaps considerably so)
Fr. Paul Robinson (from Kentucky, ordained around 2006)

To someone at Ridgefield, this seems like a VERY basic, even stupid, question. But trust me, there are some of us that have never been to Ridgefield, and we have no clue about what priests are there.

Last time I was in Ridgefield Fr. Goldade was there all right -- as a seminarian, directing the rest of the Schola in the choir loft! hahaha
    That was in 2003.

  • Philadelphia will be getting Father Patrick Crane.  I think
He is coming in from Montana.  Philadelphia is nothing like Montana.

It is really a sacrifice to cross the bridge from rural Jersey to drive through drug  neighborhood.   It is not safe  and the roads and bridges are  rough.    Homes card boarded up with graffiti
That is rough traveling back and forth between Philly and Connecticut for past priests.

May God bless you and keep you

  • It is Father Kevin Robinson who was ordained some 20-25 years ago. He still preaches against modernism but does not see anything wrong with the present course of the SSPX. Father is a wonderful priest and many hate to see Father leave. Every time I hear a sermon by Father Robinson I always leave the church wondering how Father can see nothing wrong with the course the SSPX is on.

May God always be by his side.

May we all pray to the Holy Ghost so that He will enlightened Father Robinson and all of the priest of the SSPX with the grace to understand that this course of action is leading the SSPX to their own destruction; unless God intervenes.

I am sorry to hear he doesn't see the problems with the current trajectory of the SSPX  :scratchchin:  That is odd, he was so fervently anti-modernist when I heard him 6-7 years ago.

We certainly do need to pray for all the priests.
