  • Why does the SSPX rotate the district superiors?  Fr. Rostand was visiting in Phoenix last weekend and told us he is going to Switzerland and Fr. Wegner from Canada will be replacing him.

  • I believe in dominoes it's called "washing the dishes".
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • They're the same people; the deck's still stacked in his favor.

  • Nothing more than the shifting of the deck furniture on the Titanic, I'd say. What difference does it make as to who is going where, being that it is quite clear that all roads have been leading to modernist Rome for quite some time now? Sounds like a promotion to me, anyway, for being such a "team player" in cracking down on the members of our US Resistance and putting out that goofy and creepy SSPX "bloopers" video. What the neo-SSPX REALLY needs is a tire-rotation and a drastic re-alignment of its principles . . . aka . . . REGIME CHANGE. That said, don't hold your breath.

  • It has always been standard procedure, and yes I'm talking about the pre-Vatican II church to change superiors.

  • Does anyone know when all the rotations will occur? I mean the new District Superior, any changing of leadership at local Priories, etc.

I heard August, but "August" covers a stretch of 31 days.

I'm kind of rusty as to when these rotations happen, as we've had the same priest for 9 years now.

Moving out one in favor of another, just for the sake of changing things up a bit, might have been normal. But, in what cases would it make sense to move the Frenchman to be in charge of the Latin Americans, move the German to supervise the English, and so on?

Certainly there are situations where this has occurred, but I would think it would have been to serve a specific purpose (missionaries, etc) rather than a matter of routine.
"If I could only make the faithful sing the Kyrie, the Gloria, the Credo, the Sanctus and the Agnus Dei ... that would be to me the finest triumph sacred music could have, for it is in really taking part in the liturgy that the faithful will preserve their devotion. I would take the Tantum ...

It might be a reference to that YT video where the Dominos pizza guy takes a sponge and uses it for toilet paper and then washes dishes with it but only the person who made the comment can verify it for sure.

Don't worry though because Dominos only uses fresh ingredients (except the canned tomato).

  • No, never heard anything about that.

So no one knows the answer?

    I'll repost my question here:

  • Ok, I'll answer my own question:

In the June 2014 Regina Caeli Report, Fr. Rostand writes:

    Quote
I have received confirmation that at the end of my six-year term I will be transferred on August 15, 2014. I will then leave the U.S. District and take a new assignment at the General House in Menzingen, Switzerland. Fr. Jürgen Wegner is assigned as District Superior of the United States.

No. It's MUCH more likely a reference to the game of dominoes, where shuffling the dominoes is known as "washing the dishes."

  • To help answer Matthews question the prior (Father Goldade) of Ridgefield is leaving the week of August 11. His last mass will be August 10th. He is going to Kansas City and the prior of Kansas City will be coming to Ridgefield and his first mass should be August 17th. Father Robinson is being transferred to California and his last mass at Ridgefield was this past Sunday.

It would make sense that all transferred be complete the week of August 11th since school will be starting late August.
