Whereabouts of Resistance priest, Fr Morel?

    • I came to join the boards here as a source of information primarily though I also have a separate inquiry that I was hoping someone might have some insight on.

    Father Jean Morel, who was at once the priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary in St. Paul, Minnesota, I am told has not been affiliated with SSPX since 2012.

    I am curious to know if went back to Europe or where he might be stationed and in what capacity he might currently be working.

    Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • Which chapels?

    While Fr. Morel was working with the SSPX at one time, he was not a member of the fraternity. SSPX has also not been working with Fr. Morel since 2012.

    According to the latest US assignments he is not listed nor do I see any listings for Louisiana.

    According to the latest US assignments he is not listed and Fr. Gonzales is listed for the two chapels in Louisiana.

    • He has his own chapel in Lacombe, LA. and the small house being used in Baton Rouge sustained heavy damage from the flooding this summer. He commutes to Louisiana every weekend.

    Thanks for that info however there are appear to be only two Catholic churches listed in Lacombe, LA (Sacred Heart and St. John of the Cross) neither one lists Father Morel.

    • If you want to learn every word of the Latin Mass, listen to Fr. Morel's mass for a year. He pronounces every word clearly and perfectly. An excellent pastor, and a leader of men. If I remember correctly, he is from a family of 14, with three sets of twins, he being one of them.

    There are several other priests that are not on the list, perhaps they are overseas? 

    Does anyone know if the following priests are still with the SSPX?
