    • I, for one, am looking forward to this discussion between the SSPX and the Vatican to come to an end!

    When will if finally end?

    How much longer, realistically, will this go on?

    • It won't end until hell freezes over...besides, what would there be to talk about when it does?  Though I must admit...it would be nice to know one way or the other so that we can get on with our lives...and yet, and yet...I kind of like the trad forums and the people on them...

    Just when will this issue end?  The whole reconciliation between the SSPX and the Conciliarists!  From the point of view of the Catholic faithful it's a fruitless pursuit.  

    There can be no agreement between Rome and the SSPX and the faithful of the SSPX will have to extend an enormous amount of charity toward Bp. Fellay on this matter and simply give him the benefit of the doubt that he at least thought he meant well.  The idea was crummy from the get go.  The situation is as follows:  no agreement with Rom until Rome converts and re-embraces the Catholic faith.  If this happens, what agreement would be necessary?  Once the restoration is completed, the SSPX will just need to catch up on it's paperwork.    

    Those other issues will never end and let's be glad for that!   :popcorn:

    • Oh it was just a disagreement between friends that got out of hand. Rome never intended to deprive Catholics of the old Mass nor excommunicate anyone. And Rome was never expected to go back to how she was and Vatican 2 was afterall highly misunderstood. Kiss and make up.

    • My prediction is that the deal will be announced on July 9th.  What better way to announce the reconciliation of the SSPX to the Conciliar church than to pervert Saint Thomas More's defense of the papacy.

    These are ecclesiastical bureaucrats we are talking about.  Ecclesiocrats, if you will.  It could go on for centuries.

    I have heard at or after the General Chapter the decision will be announced.
