Did you see the latest mailings from Fr. Gruner?  See, he was to be at that conference.  I let Catholic Family news know how I felt about the set-up.  Now Gruner is saying in his letters that the devil is against his efforts.  I asked which side of the fence he is on.  I let them all know no $!

I think I might know why.

This is an interesting question for me, because I have several friends
who follow Fr. Gruner's announcements pretty closely, and when I
mentioned to them last week that Bishop Fellay was scheduled to
be at the September conference in Niagara Falls, they said that no,
he's not on the roster, and he has never been on it.  

I found that odd, so I went to check the Internet and his name was
not there anymore.  Then I thought I must have had made a mistake
and I had no way of checking what happened.  

Does anyone have any old webshots of the Fatima conference ad
page when +Fellay was showing as a scheduled speaker?  It may
have only been for a few weeks that it was showing that way.  

Last year, when I asked Fr. Gruner a question that had to do with
+F, he passed it off without giving any real answer, in front of a few
hundred people.  I thought that was a bit strange, too.

I also saw lists showing Bp. F to be the main speaker  ....but he did seem out of place among the others. Fr. Gruner will find it difficult trying to straddle the various trad divisions and those closer to Rome may not wish to go out on a limb by being seen in the company of alternative Fatima promoters. Bp. F's preferred company these days would be conservative mainstream bishops and conservative establishment figures. Anyone that would help 'rehabilitate' the Society.

Then, try to find any websites offering an explanation of why his
name is now missing from the most current list -- I can't find any.
This would be typical of +Fellay's modus operandi -- when something
proves inconvenient, just back off, quietly, and hope nobody notices.
Make no announcement of the change, because if you were to
openly admit that you've changed your plans then people will start
to think about it and you don't want them thinking about it.

Therefore, HEBF confirms that he will be attending the Conference,
then a few weeks later, he's not answering questions and his name
has been removed from the list of speakers.  

Is anyone surprised?  

Since when does HEBF do what he says he'll do, or abide by things
he said he believes, or make good on an oath -- unless it serves his
agenda?   When something becomes inconvenient, he skips out.  

I have to wonder how a flake like that could ever become SG in the
first place, let alone get re-elected!  

I also couldn't see Bp. Fellay on the same platform as Roberto Fiore.

Thanks, PAT317.  I recall seeing that +F's picture was not part of the
webpage like other pictures, almost as if they wanted to keep it from
becoming difficult to remove or look too 'permanent' or something.
