  • What kind of sede was Thuc?

Does he have any writings after Palmar da Troya?

Did he write anything about why he decided to say he withheld his intentions with PDaT?

C mri holds him as a hero?

Archbishop Lefebvre was a saintly hero, look at his life and his works, his missionary accomplishments, does Thuc have any post V2 writings, works, accomplishments?

I know the answer this post will get "This post is not worth the energy to respond"

  • If you were not so determined to be a proud fool, you could actually learn something here.

This way you will only annoy people and get banned sooner or later.:fryingpan:

Did you know that Archbishop Lefebvre highly respected Archbishop Thuc and that Archbishop Lefevbre was the reason Thuc went to Palmar da Troya?

From what I understand...  All or at least of the traditional clergy who resisted the novus ordo respected Archbishop Thuc.

Whether Archbishop Thus was a sede or not is not as important as the fact that he defended the Faith and the Sacraments when few others would.

I would encourage you to find and read the diary/memoirs of Archbishop Thuc and hear about these things from his own words.

This is a myth. He did not withhold the sacramental intention when he conferred holy orders on the Palmar de Troya group. What he said later was some form of regret for having ordained and consecrated one of them.

It would have been sacrilegious to feign the conferral of holy orders while withholding the intention to administer the sacrament.

Yes. In 1981 he wrote an excellent statement on the situation in the Church, which has become known as his "Munich Declaration":

Where did you get this from?
Archbishop Lefebvre warned the faithful to stay away from Thuc that he has caused scandal.

He never started a seminary of his own but he spoke with various trad clergy
I recant many opinions on the crisis in the Church and moral theology that I have espoused on here from at least 2019-2021 don't take my postings from that time as well as 2022 possibly too seriously.

I apologize.  It was not Arcbishop Lefevbre directly who got Archbishop Thuc involved with Palmar.  Arcbishop Lefebvre sent 3 priests there and it was one of them who went to Archbishop Thuc.

    "Consecration of bishops
To be guaranteed access to the sacraments, Domínguez’s group needed its own bishops. Domínguez wrote a letter to Marcel Lefebvre and asked him to consecrate him. Lefebvre sent three of his priests. In 1976, the (now laicised) Swiss priest Maurice Revaz (who had taught Canon Law at the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) seminary in Ecône) persuaded the elderly Vietnamese Archbishop Ngo Dinh Thuc[4] of the authenticity of the apparitions.[5] Archbishop Thuc was chosen because he was a papal legate. Accepting the mystical message of the seer-mystics, the Archbishop believed that he was called by the Virgin Mary to raise two of the order’s members (Domínguez and a lawyer named Manuel Alonso Corral) and three of the priests associated with the group to the rank of bishop. Thuc also ordained some laymen to the priesthood.

As Thuc acted without obtaining the mandatory authorisation from the Holy See, he and the five men he consecrated as bishops were subsequently excommunicated by Paul VI. Thuc subsequently cut his ties with the group and was reconciled with the Church authorities."
