This list is what someone gave to me as the likely members of the chapter given the criteria. It isn't an official list.

Society of St. Pius X – General Chapter 2018

    1.      According to the Statutes of the SSPX the rules for the General Chapter consist of:
    a.       Elective offices: The Superior General and his two assistants are elected by the General Chapter for twelve years.  They may be re-elected.  The Superior General must be elected by a two-thirds majority, the Assistants by an absolute majority.  All three must have made their final engagement in the Society, be priests, and be at least thirty years old.
    b.      The General Chapter: It meets every twelve years for the election of the Superior General and his Assistants.  It also has as its purpose to examine whether the Society is conscientiously applying the statutes and striving to keep their spirit.  Let them be careful not to introduce updates or innovations, unless on occasion in the chapter on administration, in consideration of the Society’s growth.
    c.       The members of the General Chapter: The outgoing Superior General and his two Assistants; the Secretary General and the General Bursar.  District Superiors.  Superiors of autonomous houses.  The bishops at the service of the Society.  Former Superior Generals.  Then are designated the priest members of longest standing in the Society who have made their definitive engagement (and in the case of equality, the eldest in years of ordination, then by physical age) , in the proportion of one third of the members ex officio, so long as the Society has fewer than a thousand priests.

Therefore, who will be at the General Chapter in 2018?

  • Out of 56 names... is it correct... only 7 Americans attending ?

Like the Jєωs, the SSPX loves to exploit the riches and generosity of America.

Taking-over independent trad chapels, setting-up franchises and pumping money out of the USA... is their specialty.

But how do Americans rank in the SSPX when it comes to priestly counsel and representation ?

Menzingen treats Americans as the dumb, distant cousins sitting in the back of their bus.

He was shipped out to Edmonds, WA last year.

Thanks for the list of General Chapter priests.
Fr Gerard Hogan has been out of the SSPX for years has he not? As far as I am aware he is pastor of an independent parish/school somewhere in California.
His church (?St Thomas a Becket) is still, or at least was recently, advertised as a traditional Mass Centre on the SSPX website. A classic example on neo-SSPX hypocrisy in fact - the Resistance priests are now 'vagus', no mission from the Church, but here is Fr Hogan whose departure from the SSPX was a disciplinary matter enjoying their full support!

  • Fr. Hogan has been reconciled with the SSPX some years ago and now the SSPX services at his chapel (St. Athanasius) and teach at the school (St. Thomas Moore).

Father Hogan reconciled with the Society in 2007.

It seems he's been in denial about the changes in the neo-SSPX.
But if you had to determine the reason why he reconciled, it was probably his concern for the long-term care of his flock.

Since Father has suffered from declining health, his wealthy benefactors turned their chapel (St. Athanasius) over to the SSPX in early 2017. And what a ($) mother-lode this chapel has been for Fr. Wegner.

Father Hogan does mostly chaplain functions there now.

It's hard to it describe precisely, but Father carries an aura of saintliness. His sermons are beautiful and he's an inspiring confessor.

He would never agree, but Father Hogan is in complete contrast to the hirelings who run the chapel now.
