    Which of the above sows doubt, fear, suspicion, paranoia?
    Does this help answer your question?

    One should no more blindly follow Bp. Fellay than Bp. Williamson.

    It's good to examine oneself and allow God to disclose our hearts to ourselves.

    If you find yourself pridefully enjoying bashing Bishop Fellay, then stop!  Would you speak that way to his face?  (I assume not.)  Think!  Do you REALLY desire his soul to be lost?  If so, you don't please Our Lord.  He desires no one to be lost.

    Why not assign yourself some small but memorable penance every time you speak out of pride or unholy motive?

    That worked for me.  There was a certain "small" sin into which I kept falling, despite my best intentions.  So I gave $1.00 every time I slipped up.  After a month, it hurt my wallet enough that I began to be able to recognize the temptation before the sin.  Now, slip-ups are rare.  Why not speak with the priest in Confession?
     St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • I've seen his type before. They come on forums, trying to sow doubt and confusion.

    He might even have some kind of secret agenda.

  • Betrayal is always a possibility with anyone, no matter how remote the likelihood.

    The Resistance is a loose association.  Bishop Williamson does not control things with an iron fist.  What can he really do?

    As Father Pfeiffer said, Bishop Williamson would not be competent to run a conspiracy.  He is far too ingenuous.

    Hey!  The man may have been serious!  By the looks of things, I don't think he posed much of a threat.  Matthew, you over-estimated his power on CI.  The notion that Bishop Williamson is a double agent or a mole is, well, hilarious.  I give it five dancing bananas.

    Whatever it was, I missed it too, and it sounds like we are better off for it.

    Oh-oh.  Only one post and he's already on "the list!"  I guess it could have
    been worse, though.

  • .

    How about this for a snapshot:

    Right now, Zeitun is the winner on this thread for number of critics, with 67.

    Next, comes Tele and me with 58.

    Followed by Matthew with 32;

    1st Mansion Tenant with 9;

    Viva Cristo Rey with 7;

    and Horsejockey101 with 6.

    Zeitun has 67 times as many critics but 790 times as many posts.

    At this rate, Horsejocky101 would overtake us all in critics by the time
    he's made about 10 posts.  Although in reality it would probably take
    more like 30 posts before that would happen.

  • Bp. W will be getting lots of suggestions as to what to do next. People are anxious that he should capture a window of opportunity. My view is he should have raised his standard when he was pushed out of Winona. He now sees that the next assignment was to convert the penguins. He of course wanted to lead the Society in a different direction but the French/German/Swiss core blocked the Brit. And there was little commotion when he was expelled ..... even in England!

    Unfortunately he had to wait for the severity of the problems to become outwardly manifest before he could act.

    Unfortunately by the time things became undeniable the frogs in the pot had been heated up considerably.

    Dear Frances:

    I sincerely hope you were not giving the $1 to the ExSPX!

    I have an idea:  everyone who adopts this program should send
    the collection of their penance-fund to:

    www.St.Marcel_Initiative.com

    ..and attach the message that this was the idea of Frances on
    CathInfo!

    The principal need of the Resistance is the penances of the Faithful.
    After that comes prayer.

    But Prayer is not really effective without penance, do don't forget
    the penance!!!

    As someone succuмbs to hyperthermia they become "confused, hostile, or seemingly intoxicated".  Some of this has been observed in the priests and laity.
