What ethnicity is Fr. Hewko?

Is he Ukrainian by any chance? I heard Ambrose Moran claim he is byzantine rite which I don't believe but I have seen the last name "Hewko" at a Ukrainian Church so idk.

I would bet on Ukrainian.  The "-ko" ending is very common in Ukrainian names, and shows up often in Polish names as well.  Has to be one of the two, I would also say Russian/Belarusian, but if he is Catholic, either Roman or Eastern Rite, being Russian or Belarusian is very unlikely.

He’s Ukrainian but I do not think he’s from an Orthodox background.  He grew up Catholic in St. Lawrence Co, NY.  I’m pretty sure he told me he played hockey in high school for OFA, Ogdensburg Free Academy.
