H.E. Williamson to Consecrate a Bishop?

Today, we were contacted by a worthy source claiming that H.E. Bishop Richard Williamson, formerly of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), was to come to the United States in a couple of weeks to consecrate a bishop.

Rorate independently contacted one of the priests said to be organizing the consecration ceremony. Although we asked repeatedly, the priest refused to deny the consecration would be taking place, only saying there's nothing to report to the "general public."

This is Rorate's lead article tonight.

Hope no one is trying to force Bishop Williamson's hand by creating an expectation.

Pathetic.

Why would anyone think they could "force" his hand?

I hope the rumor is true.

Bishop Tissier de Mallerias who wants to retire, remains adamantly against newRome's "bastard sacraments".
In recent years, he has said, "...it's time to consecrate more Bishops".

With the future of the neoSSPX in such a precarious condition, we're in a higher "state of emergency" because the threat to the Faith is greater than ever.

Catholicism is about saving souls... not newRome and neoSSPX politics.

So, the rumor says Bishop Williamson will consecrate only one Bishop ?

Tell me... why not four Bishops, like before ?

They consecrated a bishop before (for the faithful of Campos), but just look at what happened (Bishop Rangel). If indeed Bishop Williamson is planning to consecrate a bishop or bishops, will His Excellency do it alone? I hope the SSPV scenario is not repeated.

Mes enfants... the rumors are from a protestant website!

Go back to sleep.

About Christian Clay Columba Campbell

Christian Clay Columba Campbell is a Roman Catholic of the Anglican Use. As Senior Warden of the Cathedral of the Incarnation (Orlando, FL), he organised the process by which the parish accepted the Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus, petitioning to join the Catholic Church.

My point exactly... there is no such thing as a "Roman Catholic" of the Anglican Use, and the ridiculous docuмent referenced is no more Catholic than its author.
