  • It is with sorrow that we announce the recall to God of M. Joël MORIN.

Born on September 29, 1965, on the feast of the Archangel Saint Michael, the Good Lord called him back to Himself on August 16, 2022, following a long cancer that he endured with resignation.

He taught true history for many years at the Foyer Saint-Thomas in Avrillé, after having distanced himself from the teaching and pedagogy of certain so-called traditional schools.

Passionate about his subject, he did everything he could to try to pass on the counter-revolutionary spirit to young people, so much so that he knew that the revolution was able to embed itself in people's souls by means of a bad teaching of history.

In this spirit of Catholic historian, with a great sense of duty and discretion, he collaborated with the [Avrille Dominican] review Le Sel de la Terre by writing many historical and apologetic articles under various pen names, in particular on the Jєωιѕн question (Michel Laurigan: La chronologie d'un engrenage - L'Eglise et la ѕуηαgσgυє) or the question of Protestantism (Le protestantisme assassin). He helped the Dominican fathers of Avrillé to organize the Journées Jean Vaquié; he also regularly organized trips to the Vendée with young people to help them understand, on the ground, the extent of the Catholic struggle to save the Catholic state. His heart was also very Roman since he often went to Rome with school children. He loved to help them discover the foundations and the rock of Christian civilization.

In the midst of his students in the Vendée

Very attached to the work of safeguarding the priesthood undertaken by Archbishop Lefebvre, he had understood very well the drama of the rallying of the SSPX in 2012 and followed closely the current events of the Catholic resistance. We talked about it every time we met and he was worried about whether this front of resistance was strengthening or weakening, so attached was he to true civilization. It is quite possible that this concern about the weakness of the Catholic reaction to the liberal policies and the collapse of our civilization could have had fatal consequences on his health, so sensitive was he.

But God will know how to reward this valiant Catholic for having known how to fight the good fight until the end of his earthly life.

The funeral of our dear friend will take place at the Haye-aux-Bonshommes Convent in Avrillé on Monday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m., on the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

    Noblesse oblige.

  •

... a reminder that our time on earth is short.  He was only 3 years older than I am, and my brother (who's 5 years younger than I) passed away earlier this year.

  • What a wonderful traditional Catholic, fighting man :incense:

I wish I could have met him.

Particularly interested in his viewpoint on “true-history” curriculums.

I will request a Mass be celebrated for the repose of his militant Catholic soul!

    A now, a salute:

    Viva Cristo Rey!  Viva!
    Viva Cristo Rey!  Viva!!
    Viva Cristo Rey!  Viva!!!
Viva La Virigin de Guadalupe!  Viva!!!
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • From M. Morin (written under his pen name Michel Laurigan):

    From the publisher:

"Between the prayer for the conversion of the Jєωs in the Good Friday liturgy (1959) and the presence of Benedict XVI in the ѕуηαgσgυє of Cologne (2005), the relationship between Christianity and post-Christian Judaism has been profoundly disrupted. This upheaval is such that one can speak of a theological revolution without precedent in the history of the Church.
Michel Laurigan analyzes the stages of this revolution which does not say its name, questions the texts and places in their context the actions of John Paul II and Benedict XVI.
On October 27, 2005, on the anniversary of the conciliar docuмent Nostra Aetate, Benedict XVI sent his compatriot W. Kasper a message that sums up the past rather well and bodes ill for the future: "As we look back on four decades of fruitful contacts between the Church and the Jєωιѕн people, we must renew our commitment to the work that remains to be done.
So what is this work that has been carried out over the past four decades and what remains to be done? This is what Michel Laurigan methodically shows.
The study by Mgr. Carli, reproduced in the appendix, casts a theological eye on this historical evolution."

    He was a capable man.
    Noblesse oblige.

  • More from M. Morin (akak Michel Laurigan):

    http://chire.fr/A-127077-l-eglise-et-la-ѕуηαgσgυє-depuis-vatican-ii.aspx

"The current crisis in the Church of God is necessarily seen from above as part of the age-old struggle between the Church and the ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan (Rev 2:9).
In this regard, the nineteenth century witnessed the elaboration of a new plan of assault against the Catholic citadel, a plan revealed in 1884 by Elijah Benamozegh.
This Kabbalist rabbi from Livorno, one of the masters of contemporary Jєωιѕн thought, proposed not to erase Catholicism from the face of the earth, but to "metamorphose" it according to the criteria of the Noahide Law.
Was Vatican II the attempt to implement this plan, as Cardinal Lustiger suggests?
An in-depth study of the question by Michel Laurigan."

    Noblesse oblige.

  • I regret having been a bad student in younger days but I had two years of Latin in public schools. It made a difference there for me. I've kept up with it here and there including the internet, and it's a natural support to the faith. as an example.

  • I am getting error messages when I try to click on the book references. This could be my fault entirely since I am lousy with computers. The books seem interesting. I would like to know if they can be purchased in English, as I do not speak French. It's too bad this man died. He seems to have an interesting take on the history of Vatican II. May he rest in peace.
