I'd say Fr. LeRoux is terrified of a mutiny at the General Chapter in July.

  • He says to pray for the priests that they may keep their place in obedience without assuming powers and judging everything.

    He sounds worried.

  • In reality, he should be worried as his order is about to undergo their most decisive moment. Let’s be honest, the Chapter is going to make or break any half decent priest still left in the Society. Rome loves them now, approves their sacraments, considers them Catholic. Nothing left to oppose in NuChurch, we just don’t agree with the abuses since the ‘60’s.
Please disregard everything I have said; I have tended to speak before fact checking.

  • The SSPX's General Chapter is likely a watershed.
Ironically, it is reversely analogous to King Henry VIII's renunciation of the Catholic papacy.

Consider how history looks upon the English priests who betrayed Pope Paul III and joined the King's church ?

Bp. Fellay will be essentially be putting the next Superior General under the control of the ultra-modern, Pope Francis.

For SSPX priests of conscience it is a glorious opportunity to resist Msgr. Fellay's betrayal and depart from the order.

For to put themselves under newChurch, greatly jeopardizes their true Catholic priesthoods.

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi
