:dancing:The exact Saturday count at Mass was 216. The empty chairs in the front, Gospel side were reserved for the altar boys who were in the processions only. There were a few seats here and there, not many. People were standing for lack of seats on Sunday. The attendance was approximately 300 at the Bishop's Mass. 9:00 Mass in the Church was standing room only. Don't know about 7:00.
Banquet was very good. :ready-to-eat:
Fr. Pfeiffer was his usual self. A n.o. woman at my table said, "He's not what I expected. I thought he'd be angry. Had he been raised in New York? He's more like a New Yorker than a Southerner." :scratchchin:
H.E. Bishop Williamson was a bit subdued, IMO. But he displayed his usual humor on Sunday at the picnic.
:reading:Dr. White's talk was excellent. # all the others. Is anyone putting Dr. White's talk on line?
:confused1: Zeitun- Mrs. Pfeiffer is very slender, on the short side, short whitish-blond hair. I think you mistook the Pfeiffer's friend for Mr. Pfeiffer. He is a little shorter than Fr. Joseph, and has the same body size and shape. You'd have seen a strong facial resemblance. Fr. Tim has his mother's physique and his father's temperament. He was not present as he is in the Philippines. Fr. Joe has his father's physique, his mother's temperament and personality.
:confused1:There were priests of all sizes, shapes, hair color. A FEW are tall; Bp. Williamson, Fr. Hewko, Fr. Ortiz, Fr. Faire, Fr. Voigt. Fr. Tomas Aquino and the other French priests are rather short. The Brothers were short. Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Ringrose, Fr. Girouard are of medium height. The only brown-haired priest is Fr. Hewko. Fr. Pfeiffer's hair is nearly black, as is two young priests from the monastery in Brazil. The rest had gray, white or 'salt&pepper' hair.
(Zeitun, are you very short that all the priests seemed tall?)
:drillsergeant:Pablo WAS well-behaved. That is because Fr. Pfeiffer kept him in line, also, because he behaves around Fr.'s parents.
:guitar:The picnic was not that well-attended due to rain, many people had to get on the road or catch flights to be back home on Monday. The weather cleared up after an hour, and some of the MacDonald boys played Irish music. Bp. W. seemed to enjoy himself. Fr. Pfeiffer visited everyone, even played a little volleyball with the children.
Overall, it was a good conference.
