Peignot, who had been ordained for the SSPX in 1982, had come to Christ the King Priory in Brussels that year in 1988 — fresh from a one-year stint in Lourdes, where he had been ordered by then-Superior General Franz Schmidberger (with the knowledge of longtime France district superior Fr. Paul Aulagnier) to do a year of prayer and penance for his sɛҳuąƖ abuse of five boys in Champagne-Ardenne, where he had been stationed from 1985–1987.
Among those victims was Vincent Lambert, the famous quadriplegic who became a central figure in the end-of-life debate in France, his Catholic family fighting a protracted court battle to keep their disabled son alive against the orders of the hospital, which wanted to remove his feeding tube.
The family lost their legal battle in July 2019, when France's highest court ruled in favor of the hospital. Vincent died nine days after his feeding tube was removed.
While media coverage noted the car accident that landed Lambert in the hospital, almost none mentioned how the accident came about: a troubled existence involving drinking and drugs, the result of the abuse he suffered at the hands of the SSPX priest when he was a boy, culminating in the car crash while he was driving intoxicated.
Peignot has admitted to his abuse of Lambert.
"I recognized my share of responsibility in the [Vincent] Philippon-Lambert case and in the end, I accepted the restriction of activites imposed on me," he wrote in a 2013 docuмent obtained by Church Militant, in which Peignot denied the abuse allegations brought by André, who claims the priest sɛҳuąƖly assaulted him repeatedly from 1988 to 1989, in the SSPX priory in Brussels, Belgium.

Vincent Lambert was the famous quadriplegic often referred to as "France's Terry Schiavo."

Few know he was abused by Fr. Philippe Peignot, SSPX, leading to a downward spiral of drinking & drugs, culminating in the car crash that landed him in the ER.

And after he was found guilty, he went to France and is with Bishop Faure.  Why on earth would they take him after being found guilty!

Well, this is the part of that article I have problems with.  Fr. Peignot's statement was that he admitted some "share of responsibility" for the Lambert "situation".  This falls short of a direct admission (as CM spun it).  Nor is it laid out what Fr. Peignot was said to have actually done to him.  Instead, Niles, blends this into the Andre story.  Only the Andre accusation contains any kind of detail.  This "admission" came in the very same letter where he categorically denied the Andre abuse.

Nor is there any proof that the later problem Lambert had with alcoholism (which led to his accident) had been caused by whatever Fr. Peignot did to him, but CM makes the unsubstantiated claim that it was.

It's a sloppy and dishonest article.  Niles did the same thing in the original hit piece.  She laid out the tragic story of Michael Gonzalez and went on in great detail.  Except that there's no actual proof anyone other than the perpetrator knew about the abuse or covered it up.  So it doesn't support her thesis that the SSPX protected perverts.  But she makes it seem like it does.  By implication, the SSPX as a whole is responsible for the tragic end of Michael Gonzalez, even though it appears to have been the work of a single individual.

It's very dishonest and poor journalism.  Niles is a very conniving and manipulative writer.

This is an extract from page 22 of the Livre Noir de la SSPX https://www.avref.fr/fichiers/FSSPX%20LIVRE%20NOIR%202019%20-%202.pdf

The book substitues the name Jean-François for Vincent Lambert.

Translation:

"After his childhood in the Berry then in the Ardennes, Jean-François  (Vincent Lambert) was sent at 12 years old to the school Saint-Joseph de Carmes, an FSSPX school near Carcassonne. "JF  (Vincent Lambert) wasn't very happy...said one of his friends. He seemed eaten inside by old demons". As it happens, during a trial in 2014 in Chalons-en-Champagne, the family lawyer detailed sɛҳuąƖ abuse suffered by JF in the FSSPX schools. Also, JF's (Vincent Lambert)  mother had protested against the attitude of Father Peignot.

This priest was at that time with the FSSPX ar Bazeilles, in Champagne-Ardennes, and the mother of JF (Vincent Lambert) accused him of performing pedophile acts on two of her sons, of which one is JF(Vincent Lambert). Virulent letters written by the mother can be found in the closets of the FSSPX. Ten years after the facts she complained the FSSPX superiors that her son's abuser was still looking after scouts and cubscouts at Conflans-Pontoise and had even been on their camps (usually where scouts go away for a  week in the woods) Father Paul Aulagnier, district superior of France from 1976 to 1994, questioned one day by another victim of l'Abbé Peignot, was reported to have rudely and insultingly replied, on the suject of this woman. "

Vincent Lambert' mother Vivienne, with courage and humilty, moved mountains to save Vincent's life and Father Aulagnier's response, if true, is brutally unfair.

If one is wondering why the "Resistance" has such hard time developing, this is one of the reasons, why we, and at least one other family we know of, no longer attend. Sure, you will find plenty of single people in the "Resistance", who believe the founders are inspired by the Holy Ghost, and that these scandals are no big deal, but not that many families.

Sure, but even this is vague.  Fr. Peignot conceded a "share of responsibility" for SOMEthing.  We're not sure what.  It falls short of a flat-out admission to the full extent of whatever this was.  This excerpt merely says "pedophile acts".
