+Faure Talking Tough (Ordination Sermon)
« on: December 30, 2022, 11:48:44 AM »
From the latest seminary newsletter (attached):

Extracts from the sermon of Bp. Faure.

"... Rev. Mr. Perez was one of the first to come to our little Society of the Apostles of Jesus and Mary [SAJM] here in Avrillé, to be trained for the priesthood according to the principles of old taught by our friends the Dominican Fathers.. It is with their teachers that the seminarians learn what their mission and their life will be. As St. Paul says: "Praedicare Christum, amare Christum, comunicare Christum" is the goal of every Christian, but especially of the priest who will often be misunderstood and persecuted as was Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Preaching Christ: Our Lord asked St. Peter: "And you, whom do you say that I am?” St. Peter made this solemn declaration of his faith: "Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God!” This proclamation of the Divinity of Jesus Christ by St. Peter is fundamental for the Roman Catholic Church; it is because St. Peter affirmed his faith that Our Lord gave him the authority: "Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church”. ... Peter was at the same time given the duty of confirming his brothers in FAITH and in TRUTH. This is what the 260 popes, successors of Peter have done in the course of the two-thousand-year history of the Church, without ever the slightest contradiction in their magisterium, often covered by INFALLIBILITY, that is to say DEFINITE AND IRREFORMABLE.

Unfortunately, a large number of modernist theologians, condemned or excommunicated by Popes St. Pius X and Pius XII, spread a "New Theology" as well as ecuмenism that triumphed at the Second Vatican Council, despite Pius XI's condemnation in the encyclical Mortalium animos on the uniqueness of the true Church of Christ opposed to false religions.

This is false ecuмenism which claims that all religions are equal, that they honour the same God, and which has seen the cult of the Pachamama idol enter Saint Peter's Basilica; which has seen a pope kiss the Koran; which has seen ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs, transgender people and all sorts of perverts welcomed in the Vatican, no doubt in the name of the dignity of the human person, dear to the Vatican II Council!...

Etienne, it is in this tragic context - unique in the history of the Church - that, out of love for the Truth, while always keeping the love of the Papacy, you will have to guide the faithful on the only way of eternal salvation, namely the FAITH in the divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of our souls and of our countries.

The new conciliar religion encourages all religions without exception, except the religion of the Catholic centuries. ... It forbids the Apostolic Mass codified by Pope St. Pius V, which is not the Mass of Luther, nor that of Paul VI. It puts Our Lord on the same level as Mohammed, Luther, Moon, the Pachamama... Only one religion becomes suspect and practically forbidden: The one that Catholics have practiced for twenty centuries....

But Our Lord warned us that there would be a general apostasy towards the end of time: "When the Son of Man returns, will there still be anyone on earth who has kept the faith?”

What then about obedience? Obedience takes precedence over all the moral virtues, but it is inferior to the theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity: if there is a contradiction, a conflict between Faith and obedience, then filial but firm resistance becomes legitimate and even obligatory, in order to preserve Faith.

St. Peter and St. John resisted the High Priest in the Temple, telling him "You ought to obey God, rather than men," even men who are supposed to represent God”.

Only obedience to God, to the Divine law, to the natural law is absolute! It is only in its conformity to this absolute obedience that obedience to the ecclesiastical hierarchy, to the civil authorities, to parents, etc., is binding...

There are abuses of authority which must be resisted, especially when they destroy the Church, the Faith or morality. When one destroys the Faith, as has been done since the Council, one also destroys morality, as we have just seen in France, where twelve bishops, a cardinal and many priests are involved in matters of immorality....

To the Galatians, St. Paul writes: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.” A Gospel different from, and opposite to that of Jesus Christ? For example, the gospel of "human rights," of religious freedom, that is, the gospel of false rights and false religions...

We have therefore chosen to obey the Magisterium of all the Popes who have always proclaimed the Divinity and exclusive Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We shall strive to imitate them with the grace of God. It is these graces of Faith and Strength that we implore for you, dear Stephen [Etienne in French], from St. Stephen, the first martyr of the Church and from the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen!"

Note: for a better understanding of the Second Vatican Council's doctrinal deviations and of the New Mass, we recommend the reading of: "Catechism of the Crisis in the Church", by Father Mathias Gaudron, "Lex orandi, la nouvelle messe et la foi", by Daniel Raffard de Brienne, Lecture et Tradition n°101, Price 5.25 €. These two books, and many others, are on sale at Editions de Chiré.

Comment by Fr. Dominique Rousseau (SAJM):

PRIESTLY SANCTITY

Excerpt from the editorial of Father D. Rousseau in his bulletin "With the help of St Joseph".

The media readily pick up on and revel in the scandals that shake the Church. It is no longer just priests who are in the news in France and elsewhere, but bishops, even a cardinal... for scandals against the virtue of chastity.

But ... no mention is made of all the priests who are faithful to their priesthood, who do not make a fuss but carry out their ministry with dignity, 7 in self-denial, poverty, chastity, obedience to their commitments, before God and their flock. The media will never talk about this...

In eternity, we will see the beauty of consecrated souls, faithful to the call received from God and ratified by the Holy Church in their vocation.

We are happy that a new priest was recently ordained in Avrillé by Bp. Faure who, thank God, has regained most of his health after having almost died a year ago. It is true that one ordained priest is always too few compared to the immense needs of souls to be evangelized. But let us give thanks to God for these vocations which are well formed by the Dominican Fathers of Avrillé, in the pure line of the Church, according to the principles received from Archbishop Lefebvre: "I have transmitted what I have received".

Father Dominique Rousseau, 14th November 2022

NB: Fr. Rousseau left the SSPX after 25 years in 2019 over the arrival of Bishop Huonder at the SSPX school in Wangs, Switzerland.  Prior to this, he was in the "hot seat" for having read the letter of the seven French deans (i.e., against the new conciliar-SSPX marriage guidelines), which resulted in his transfer.

The SSPX does not tolerate criticism of the conciliarism it has been embracing.

Meh, those 260 orthodox popes were just a fluke, since evidently there's no divine protection involved that guaranteed it.
