  • Praised be Jesus Christ.

Dear brothers and sisters, allow me to address you all as a Pastor who has at heart above all the salvation of souls. My words are for each one of you: for those who have the grace to be Christians, and for those who are still far from God; for those who have understood the spiritual dimension of this battle, and for those who believe that it is only an attack on civil liberties; for those who are aware of the anti-Christ matrix of what is happening, and for those who are exasperated by the absurd restrictions imposed by governments enslaved to the Great Reset.

Your protest joins that of millions of other people. A courageous protest that starts from the sharing of some fundamental principles such as the right to natural freedoms, to an informed choice of treatments and to the respect of one's own convictions in health and civil matters. If you know how to demonstrate firmly and peacefully to defend your inalienable rights, this day will be remembered when all this is over. So I urge you not to give in to the provocations of those who are just waiting to suppress your dissent with force.

This battle cannot and must not be limited to a demand for rights and freedom, regardless of Truth and Justice. As I have already said on other occasions, freedom is such only if it is accomplished within the limits of the Good. Those who discriminate against you today, who prevent you from working, going to school, traveling and entering restaurants and stores are the same ones who have been telling you for decades that you are "free" to offend God, to break His Commandments, to divorce, to kill children in the womb, the elderly and the sick in the hospital bed; that you are "free" to decide when to live and when to die, to establish what is right and what is wrong; that you can deny your past, Christian civilization, your identity as Catholics and as Italians. As long as all this responds to the ideology of death, sin and vice that inspires their actions.

But this is not freedom! The freedom to which you must aspire, dear brothers and sisters, is founded in Our Lord Jesus Christ, who said: "The truth will make you free" (Jn 8:32), referring to Himself, "the Way, the Truth and the Life" (Jn 14:6).

Return to God! Let Him reign first of all in your hearts, preserving yourselves in His grace through prayer and the Sacraments. Make Him reign in your families, where the fidelity of spouses, the education of children, the care of the elderly and the weak constitute a formidable defense against those who want to destroy the fabric of society. Let him reign in civil society, conforming the laws of the State to the Law of God, beginning with respect for the sacredness of life and the common good. Let Him reign in the courts, in schools, universities, workplaces and hospital wards.

If you believe that you can free yourselves from the chains of this tyranny by your own strength alone, you are mistaken: because it is precisely by setting aside the Lord that you condemn yourselves to the failure of all your actions, even praiseworthy ones. Instead, have the courage to claim your identity with pride, to bear witness to your Faith, to assert your rights as Christians. And above all, dear brothers and sisters, have the courage to place yourselves under the protection of Jesus Christ: "I have overcome the world" (Jn 16:33), said the Lord. If your spiritual battle will be under the insignia of Christ the King, victory is sure, and the servants of this infernal dictatorship will retreat, because Satan cannot overcome Him Who by His Sacrifice destroyed his power, and She who by divine decree will crush his head.

I beg you, I implore you: clasp yourselves under the Cross of Christ, and place yourselves all under the mantle of the Blessed Virgin. It will not be the Constitution, nor the Declaration of Human Rights to save you, but the Faith. That Faith which has made Europe great, which has built Christian civilization, which has made the arts and sciences flourish. That Faith that leads us to reach out to the poor, to comfort the sick and the dying, to strengthen in Charity those bonds of brotherhood that today we see destroyed and denied by an ideology that admits everything, tolerates everything, except the Good.

I appeal also to those who are beginning to recognize the deceptions and lies that we have been denouncing for two years: have a jolt of pride, a motion of honesty and honor! You doctors and paramedics, do not remain silent in front of what happens in hospitals, in violation of the oath you have taken. You magistrates and law enforcement officers, do not become accomplices of traitors and the corrupt who obey the globalist oligarchy to destroy the Nation and enslave the citizens. You politicians and representatives of the institutions, denounce the meddling of powers that no one has elected and that conspire against the people. You journalists, defend the truth and do not be conniving with a power that is based on lies and crime. You, shopkeepers, restaurateurs, operators: open your stores and stop indulging the delusion of an authority that legitimizes itself only through the use of force and intimidation. And you priests, parish priests and bishops, always ready to welcome immigrants and illegal immigrants: remember that the Lord has ordered us to love our neighbor, that is, the one who is closest to us: do not go along with the pandemic narrative, do not close your churches to the faithful, and above all remember that it is Our Lord Jesus Christ who saves, not an experimental serum produced with abortive fetuses!

Each of you, today, in this square and throughout Italy, find that humanity that has been compromised by these months of collective madness. Let discrimination cease, and with it the hateful marginalization of the healthy, the ghettoization of dissenters, the criminalization of those who until yesterday were our brothers and who today are deprived of work and livelihood. Let us come out of this delirium, in the name of God!

When authority conspires against the Nation and abuses its power against its citizens, civil disobedience and conscientious objection are in order. Your children will thank you for what you do, provided that your action is enlightened by Faith and inflamed by Charity. If you just want to go back to being free to offend God and to break His Law, you will never get out of this infernal dystopia.

When we ask the Lord "give us this day our daily bread," before these material requests we say, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done." For only where Christ reigns is there justice, peace, concord, and prosperity.

That is why I invite you all to recite together, with Faith and with filial trust in God's help, the prayer that the Lord has taught us: Our Father...

  • Notice that, where Fr. Pagliarani wrote these people off because there are among them many who worship freedom for its own sake (perfectly true), +Vigano acknowledges this, then rebukes them for it, then instructs them.

There's no reason the SSPX couldn't have gone that route (unless they don't want to be seen opposing Rome, and are naively hoping for a better deal from the next heretic pope).

You can almost see the wheels turning, "Ah yes, brothers.  Francis has gone too far, and the next conclave will not put another like him upon the throne.  No, they will surely put a better modernist upon it instead; someone we can once again work with."
Rom 5: 20 - "But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more."
