I find Fr. Chazal to be one of the best fruits of the old SSPX. An excellent priest -- not just faithful, but eminently rational and highly intelligent. Has all his priorities in order. Full of common sense. And doing much good for the Church.

Let's not forget that Fr. Chazal is NOT Asian. He is one of the biggest names in the Trad world in Asia, yes. And he has spent how many decades there? He's made it his home, his main apostolate. But he is 0% Asian himself. His blood, culture, preferences, and sensibilities are all French. 

Should I point out that France has a much higher wealth and standard of living than most Asian countries? At least higher than the ones Fr. Chazal frequents. Let's just say Bamboo isn't a common building material in France.

So he has a missionary's mortification and zeal for souls -- so we're talking about holiness too.
