  • I don't have time to place individual videos in a post (yet), but I managed to upload several videos thus far, and you can find them at the following link (my Youtube channel):

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7MMuCvrXSbn98K7tSU_USA

P.S. The hotel we stayed at (Quality Inn, Tysons Corner) had HORRIBLE upload speed. 0.4 MB/s on upload, 4.0 MB/s on download.
When uploading videos, the UPLOAD speed is all that matters. Long story short, I did my best! My portable computer was busy every hour I was back in the hotel room.

P.P.S. We'll in our hotel room for about 45 more minutes. Then we'll be spending the next 10 hours travelling -- including a 3.5 hour layover in Dallas airport.

I can't wait to see the videos!!
    .
And I'm waiting for news on the Consecration of Russia yesterday (correct?)
    .
I have a friend who told me that she wishes she would get a Chinese Fortune Cookie that has a fortune inside asking, "Have you said your Rosary today?" or, "Have you relinquished your attachment to sin yet?"
    .
They could have catechism questions or names of Holy Days of Obligation, or perhaps reminders to say your daily prayers, or "How long has it been since your last confession?"

  • This video gives the "mandate" or reason for consecrating a new bishop:

  • It sounds like rain is falling in the background all during these videos.
    .
Does it rain all the time in Virginia?

  • I have completed uploading ALL of the videos recorded by my tablet of the Consecration as well as the Pontifical High Mass on Friday, May 12th

HOWEVER, there are still several videos, recorded by my PHONE, that need to be uploaded.

These include "alternate" recordings or views of things I've already uploaded, plus NEW MATERIAL that hasn't been posted yet. Including speeches given at the banquet.

I will apologize in advance -- at the banquet, my tablet memory was full (cursed Nexus 9 tablet doesn't allow an SD card!) and my phone (which has an SD card) ran out of battery power while Bishop Zendejas was explaining his Episcopal crest!

Lesson learned: next time, I'll bring a couple battery packs PLUS my charger cord for my phone. I also need to buy an additional smartphone ($50) like the one I carry around, to record audio and/or video in times like this. I won't let this happen again, I promise!

I didn't have any other devices with me, to record even the audio. I don't normally record 6 hours of events without a trip back to my "home base".

Nexus tablets are great for getting the latest Android versions, but the particular one I have is crappy for not having an SD card slot. I don't think I'll make THAT mistake again either...

  • The consecration of Bishop Zendejas is more like a wedding (where there isn't really a "let down" after the ceremony) than something like Christmas, where there is a real let-down after all the excitement is over.

As a married man, I can attest that there is no "let down" after the marriage ceremony is over and all the guests have gone home. After all, you have the rest of your lives together to look forward to: living in common, hopefully raising children together, etc. In other words, the part you looked forward to the most.

Likewise, the best part of this ceremony is that it results in a new Bishop for the Resistance, and a good one at that! Just think, he will receive even more graces and inspirations of the Holy Ghost now thanks to his new duty of state.

Although the tent will get returned to the rental agency, and all the people will go home to the states and countries they came from, this is only the beginning! We now have a Bishop Zendejas who can guide the Traditional Catholic flock and use what authority he has by virtue of his consecration, his status as bishop (as opposed to the explicit authority/jurisdiction a bishop normally receives from above, from Rome) to help the Faithful to avoid confusion, avoid errors, and keep the Faith.

Even though he is an "auxiliary bishop" with no explicit jurisdiction, he is a legitimate successor of the Apostles, with all the power, responsibility, and duties which that entails. Without the normal jurisdiction a bishop normally has, his hands are partly tied, but he is not completely helpless. He is still a bishop!

I've seen much worse downpours, in terms of intensity, on a regular basis. What was noteworthy about last week's rain was the persistence, as well as the accompanying cold.

I was impressed, though, by the measures they took to control the situation on Day 2. They dug a trench for drainage, and deposited a bunch of dry straw over the muddy parts. The wet/muddy "impassable" parts were completely usable on day 2.

Thanks for the details!  It's the sort of thing nobody would mention, so now I can feel like I was there a little better.  Some of the shots show the congregation chairs were very close to the exterior/sky but none of the videos show if anyone was getting splashed on by the rainfall.  So now I expect the first chair or two near the open sides of the tent were likely not occupied during the rain, correct?
    .
I don't know much about weather in Virginia, but COLD RAIN in the middle of May seems a bit odd. No?
    .
If the devil was trying to discourage the Consecration of Russia on Day 2, it seems Our Lady might have stepped in with a particular signal grace for fair weather. No?
    .
I'd really like to know more about the Consecration of Russia on Day 2. Can you post any content explaining the text used or what the intention was in this consecration? Some say all 4 bishops participated. Did they invite other bishops to join them - any other bishops at all, anywhere in the world?  If so, did any other bishops join in the consecration even if they were not physically present in Virginia??
    .
I would suppose that the other 3 SSPX bishops would have nothing to do with this consecration of Russia, because they're trying to remain buddy-buddy with Rome, and Rome wants nothing to do with any consecration of Russia because of the Vatican-Moscow Agreement which was at the ROOT of all the problems with Vatican II!!!!!!!
    .
Curiously, it is this same ideological/Modernist contagion that has infected the neo-SSPX which sets them apart from the Resistance! The 3 bishops don't want to offend Rome because they want to be "recognized" with a "deal" or a "practical agreement" or a "personal prelature" a la Opus Dei.......... (Note: this is the same ideological sickness that gave us Vat.II because just like then when the perils of Communism were not addressed at the Council even though it had opened promising to address ALL concerns of the Church and one-fifth of the bishops, including ABL, completed all the requisite paperwork to have Communism discussed at Vat.II, the paperwork was suspiciously misplaced in the circular file - duuuh. And so now, +Fellay, +de Galarreta and +de Mallarais are all stuck in the circular file conundrum of Vat.II vis-a-vis the Vatican-Moscow Agreement.)

It is not normal to have such cold weather rain in May, but it does happen once in awhile...
As for the Consecration of Russia...  The 4 bishops did make a sort of Consecration, explaining in it that it would not fulfill Our Lady's wishes, but that we have to do what we can and maybe it will help in the long run for the actual consecration to take place one day by a Truly Catholic Pope and the Bishops around the world.   :)

  • Someone PMed me just now asking if there were any videos of the Consecration available online or on Youtube.

The answer is YES -- just look at the first post in this thread.

  • Another note, to anyone out there concerned about "privacy" when attending major Traditional Catholic events:

    http://www.rcfp.org/browse-media-law-resources/digital-journalists-legal-guide/legal-limits-recording-conduct-and-conver

    Quote
    Recording in public
The general rule is that people in public places must assume they might be photographed or recorded, particularly if they are officials carrying out their public duties. Therefore, you may photograph, film and record what you can easily see or hear in public places, even if the recorded people have not specifically consented to such, provided you do not harass, trespass or otherwise intrude. This includes shooting footage of a private property from a public sidewalk, as long as you do not engage in overzealous surveillance, such as the offensive use, for example, of a telephoto lens to record intimate activities inside the bedroom or bathroom of a private residence.

If you see me there (at a major event that I've been flown in to, or anything at Stella Maris Chapel), with my tablet and phones recording, especially if it's aimed in your direction, expect to find your face, or some part of it, in some corner of certain video(s) on Youtube. Also note that I'm not aiming at you, but rather at the altar or podium which is in front of you.

    You have been duly warned.

This hasn't been a huge issue. In fact, it hasn't been an issue at all, except for ONE INDIVIDUAL named C.B.
