I've seen much worse downpours, in terms of intensity, on a regular basis. What was noteworthy about last week's rain was the persistence, as well as the accompanying cold.
I was impressed, though, by the measures they took to control the situation on Day 2. They dug a trench for drainage, and deposited a bunch of dry straw over the muddy parts. The wet/muddy "impassable" parts were completely usable on day 2.
Thanks for the details! It's the sort of thing nobody would mention, so now I can feel like I was there a little better. Some of the shots show the congregation chairs were very close to the exterior/sky but none of the videos show if anyone was getting splashed on by the rainfall. So now I expect the first chair or two near the open sides of the tent were likely not occupied during the rain, correct?
.
I don't know much about weather in Virginia, but COLD RAIN in the middle of May seems a bit odd. No?
.
If the devil was trying to discourage the Consecration of Russia on Day 2, it seems Our Lady might have stepped in with a particular signal grace for fair weather. No?
.
I'd really like to know more about
the Consecration of Russia on Day 2. Can you post any content explaining the
text used or what the
intention was in this consecration? Some say all 4 bishops participated. Did they invite other bishops to join them - any other bishops at all, anywhere in the world? If so, did any other bishops join in the consecration even if they were not physically present in Virginia??
.
I would suppose that the other 3 SSPX bishops would have nothing to do with this consecration of Russia, because they're trying to remain buddy-buddy with Rome, and Rome wants nothing to do with any consecration of Russia because of
the Vatican-Moscow Agreement which was at the ROOT of all the problems with Vatican II!!!!!!!.
Curiously, it is this same ideological/Modernist contagion that has infected the neo-SSPX which sets them apart from the Resistance! The 3 bishops don't want to offend Rome because they want to be "recognized" with a "deal" or a "practical agreement" or a "personal prelature"
a la Opus Dei.......... (Note: this is the same ideological sickness that gave us Vat.II because just like then when the perils of Communism were not addressed at the Council even though it had opened promising to address ALL concerns of the Church and one-fifth of the bishops, including ABL, completed all the requisite paperwork to have Communism discussed at Vat.II, the paperwork was suspiciously misplaced in the circular file - duuuh. And so now, +Fellay, +de Galarreta and +de Mallarais are all stuck in the circular file conundrum of Vat.II
vis-a-vis the Vatican-Moscow Agreement.)
