  • I heard a comment that the Vatican II books had been removed from a certain priory bookstore/library. I had it checked out by a reliable and precise friend, and he confirmed to me that ALL the books against Vatican II, all the books about and by Archbishop Lefebvre, and all the books about organized naturalism, ALL are GONE.

Is this happening elsewhere in the USA/ World?

Not true at the chapels I visited.

  • While I don't doubt that your story could well be true bowler, unfortunately having old books around never stopped liberals from being liberals, and doesn't give traditionalists wisdom and backbone.

The SSPX has shown its willingness to purge its past teachings though.  That has happened.

  • On SSPX.org this has happened. I wouldn't be surprised if it also happened at the more "Accordista" of SSPX chapels. It all depends on the priest.

  • It doesn't surprise me that things like this are already being done in your chapel bowler......how else can they have any progress?

I would think each chapel has priests that are 100% commited in joining Rome and others have priests that are still "on the fence". The more liberal chapels are moving forward by making these "subtle changes" whilst the others have not done yet........but, will eventually have to follow orders.

For reconcialliation with Rome to take place, "changes" will have to be made (removal of books, changes in the Holy Mass etc....) in not shocking the "faithful".

I'm sure there are many that are aware, and others that aren't aware or really don't care about these changes going on. We need to pray for them.

Despite all these obvious changes taking place as well as the overwhelming evidence of +Fellay's SSPX reconcilliation with Rome, people knowing this still continue to attend these chapels?? This, I can't understand??

I see it as either your on the side of True Faith or you're with the liberal SSPX. You're either with God or you're against Him.

  • That could be the reality. The mettle of individual priests will be shown by how amenable they are to either a process of integration of which Bp. F has already spoken or Menzingen's liberalising programme. In any event the spirit of change is having some effect.

You need to think before you post the first thing that pops into your head.

The books have been purged at this chapel, that is a reality. Your reply is not dealing in reality.

  • Well, we've previously acknowledged the book purge at the Angelus Press, so Bowler's claim makes sense to me.

If you contact the Angelus, they may have one token copy of Fr. Dennis Fahey's works and that's just to avoid the charge that they don't carry them anymore.

Father Fahey laid out the truth about the Jєω's rebellion against the Kingship of Christ. Everything he said about the tribe had been stated previously by 60 popes.

In addition, the Angelus Press removed the important book "Peter Lovest Thou Me?"  by Abbe LeRoux.

This 1986 book staked out the SSPX's position on JP II's Asssi apostasy.  It was removed around 2009, so a not to offend the Pope.

Like the "reworking" and softening of +ABL's Sermons in 2004, as discovered by Ethelred, the SSPX-J has been methodically planning their reunion with newChurch.

I'm just suprised the book purge didn't hit all the Chapel bookstores uniformly, much earlier.  It must have been an oversight on the part of Fr. Rostand?
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Some people may scoff at this notion now, but common sense tells one that this will soon be the order of the day.

People have observed the changes in the sermons and the news from dici.org

It truly is pathetic, for people to form traditional chapels just to willingly fall to the same subversion because of their pride and willful blindness.

Is it Fr Marc Vernoy's chapel, Bowler?. If so, he may be an exception. He blew his chances for a great apostolate, first as a priest in the Asia District, and then as Superior of the Africa District. Apparently, it seems that all that's left him is to be Bp Fellay's "lappest" of lapdogs!

  • We were also told this by the SSPX parishioners who actually run the gift shop in an SSPX chapel in the South. They cannot get certain titles specifically related to these subjects. Perhaps there are still a limited supply of these books on the shelves in some chapels currently, but try finding the book *I Accuse the Council*- even on the internet supplies are diminishing rapidly. I have heard that many of these titles are no longer available from Angelus Press, that they have been "out of print,", that the family of Archbishop Lefebre unsuccessfuklly sued to have the writings released from the SSPX so they could be republished for all.
