Father still hasn't e-mailed me about whether PayPal donations would get through.  As I mentioned, I looked it up and there is PayPal in Nigeria, so it would be good if he set up an account.
Thanks, Ladislaus, I'll mention it to him. I thought he would have replied to you as he always acknowledges my emails very promptly. I suspect he has seen your message and put it in the too hard basket and then forgotten about it. Anyway, thanks for your efforts, I will follow up on it.

Well, he probably knows and trusts you, whereas my stuff might have been consigned to the spam folder (can hardly blame him).

Perhaps you could ask him directly, since what's important is getting an answer to the question, which is basically whether he has PayPal and if any of us sent money to his e-mail address via PayPal, whether it would get to him.  If not, perhaps if he could get a PayPal account, it would greatly facilitate sending money to him from the US, so that people could easily send even smaller amounts.

PayPal does not work in Nigeria apparently. Here is Fr Onuorah's reply:

The issue is that PayPal does not work in Nigeria.  We have tried it before but it was not working.  They can send money through western union,  Ria, Send Waves;  These are the ones that work in Nigeria

A NEW COMMUNICATION FROM FR ONUORAH: CAN ANYBODY HELP?

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ my dear brother...  hope you are fine today. We keep praying God for His eternal reward and blessings on our donors for the building of a Traditional Catholic Church in, Orlu, Nigeria.  We are also praying that people remember us this Advent and Christmas seasons so that we can continue the work from where we stopped before the bishop's pastoral visit.  Any amount of donation  is highly appreciated and keeps the construction work moving forward.
Thank you so much, and God bless you.
Yours in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Rev. Fr.  Joseph Onuorah.

In response to previous suggestions on this thread, Fr Onuorah has now provided PAYPAL account details for those still looking for a way to donate. Please consider the Nigerian Missions for your Lenten almsgiving:

Good morning my dear brother... Like I told you before PayPal does not work in Nigeria, that's why it has to go through someone in another country where it is working before reaching us.
Moreover, was it in Cathinfo that the PayPal account was requested before? If it is there then you can send it there.  If it was not there that it was requested but you wish to put it in Cathinfo it is okay,..
Thank you so much.
I wish you a grace filled Lenten Season.
God bless.
Yours in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Rev. Fr.  Joseph Onuorah.

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ my dear brother...  happy first week of Lent.  I got a PayPal account of a Nigerian Traditional Catholic faithful who is living in US. I explained to her and she promised to send the money to me in Nigerian currency once any donation is sent to her PayPal account.
Below is the PayPal account details: My PayPal account is @ChinweOparaji
Email: f_chinwefausta@outlook.com
If any donation is sent to the account for our Church building project kindly write me so that I will inform her to forward it to me immediately in Nigerian currency.  Once it reaches me I will inform you...

Thank you so much for your assistance.
I wish you a grace filled Lenten Season.
Send my kind regards to all.
God bless.
Yours in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Rev. Fr. Joseph Onuorah.

The PayPal account belongs to a trusted benefactor of Fr Onuorah.
Please advise him of any donations by email: onuorajoe93@gmail.com
