We are a small  Catholic Religious Community of Carmelite Nuns faithful to the unchanging Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. We are zealously faithful to the early Carmelite Hermit spirit of simplicity and poverty and spend many hours in prayer and penance for the salvation of souls and to make atonement for the sins of mankind including of course our own shortcomings. By so doing we hope to save many souls from eternal damnation for the greater glory of God.  Below you will see photos of our former simple, yet very beautiful 24x18 wooden cabin Oratory of the Holy Face, and photos taken in December 2019 after the local County Council tore it down.  https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=598652193953960

Since Cork County Council have impoverished us by forcing us to remove the temporary log cabins from off our land which have served as an Oratory for the Blessed Sacrament, and Nuns quarters, we no longer have the means to purchase a proper Convent.

We humbly beg your assistance.   (our website)  https://carmelitesholyface.com/donations
We are much in need of funds to purchase suitable property so we may be able to continue  our Contemplative Life of prayer in the silence of solitude and in Community for you , your family, and all peoples.  Please send us what you can. God bless and reward you   Oratory of the Holy Face. • Not quite sure I trust “Go Fund Me” pages, never really sure who is collecting the money on the other end or  if funds are really going where they belong.

Do the sisters have a direct address to receive donations?

They live in a benefactor's home " A kind gentleman has offered us the use of an empty house in East Cork until God opens the way for us to settle down more permanently."

• The Carmelites have been posting updates on their situation.  I just received another today.  It involves a video that starts with a picture of a professed and novice Carmelite kneeling before a statue of Our Lady.  Then the video begins showing before and after pictures of their property.

Their donations are coming in very slowly.

If any one saith that true and natural water is not of necessity for baptism, and on that account wrests to some sort of metaphor those words of Our Lord Jesus Christ, "Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost...,"  Let Him Be Anathama.  -COUNCIL OF TRENT Sess VII Canon II “On Baptism"

• I understand that this is not the U.S. but didn’t they need proper building permits etc before erecting their hermitage?

I know in the U.S. you can’t just but a couple of acres of land and then build whatever you like.  There are sanitation, sewage, and septic requirements...etc

Just curious.
