Rorate can independently confirm the report --hinted at just now in Le Forum Catholique -- that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has sent a letter with a final offer to the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX): resume the dialogue with the Holy See by February 22, or else the Holy See will make an offer of reconciliation and full communion to individual SSPX priests. (What kind of offer or structural basis will be offered is unclear.)

  • February 22 is the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter at Antioch and the Pope is officially abdicating 6 days later on February 28.  Hmmm - what is the meaning of this?  Will +Fellay sign on the dotted line 2/22/2013?

Structure unclear?  They can just slide into the FSSP can't they?  Could whole chapels would be turned over to the FSSP if "management" wanted the deal?  What would be the difference between FSSP and SSPX if the SSPX caves?

Of course he would, if he has not already done that earlier. If not why the haste to get rid of +Williamson and the other resistance Fathers? Why the wall of silence? Hush Hush!? The list can go on...!

For my family and I, we will stand for the resistance Fathers as long as they hold on to the true Faith of our Fathers, and of our dear founder, Archbishop Lefebvre.

  • I would not be surprised if the Society agrees to a deal sometime this year.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

I posted this on 12th February in the thread " Pope resigning, Are we on the eve of grave events".

"Judging from Fellay's behavior these past several years I personally believe he will do all he can to secure a last minute deal with Pope Ratzinger. Whether or not he succeeds is another matter".

Can you qualify this statement? What exactly do you mean by "deal"? If you were referring to a "sell out", well, those accusations have been heard ad nauseam for a long time. It never actually comes to pass.

  • Even if the Society never sells out, they've already compromised. They're becoming more liberal.

Forum Catholique says B.Fellay has already refused to enter into a deal. True?

The decision has already been made at the highest level, SG and his hand-
placed followers.  So it is more like "just a matter of time."

Not a question of whether the sell-out will occur or not, but rather only
    WHEN it will occur.

There are a number of factors involved, including but not limited to the
    following:

How long will it take the lemmings in the pews to become pliable enough
to take it rolling over for the new agenda?

At what point can the resistant priests who have not spoken up become
reliably non-combative toward the sell-out, such that they won't emerge
and cause any 'trouble' when it happens?

What more can be done to morph the SSPX priests into a willingness to
turn tail and run away from the principles of Archbishop Lefebvre?

The Menzingen-denizens have diligently tried to shove all the facts of
history that are INCONVENIENT to their sell-out agenda DOWN THE
MEMORY HOLE, but pesky websites like CI and inthissignyoushallconquer
are presenting a formidable embattlement that might have to be breached
in some manner, some way, some how......  :confused1:

What can be done to be sure that the confiscation of properties will not
be protested by the Faithful who paid for them over the decades past?

Remember, that if one of the Capitulants at the Chapter had not capitulated,
it would have scuttled the whole "unity" agenda, causing great scandal, so
then the Statement would have to have been revised, OR WORSE!

There is a CRITICAL MASS of compliance that the Menzingen-denizens
has to evaluate continuously, and it is a delicate decision as to when they
can be sure it is time to make the move, but MAKE IT they will, come
    what may.

  • Is it possible to petition the CMRI to open a mass center nearby in case the SSPX goes squishy?
