  • Thank-you , Etherel, for posting this beautiful poster. This is the one Fr. Pfeiffer was looking for! :applause:

Dear people, please copy this link, get the poster downloaded, and send it to all your friends and relatives. Send it to anybody in tradition-- all are invited to help this Bishop,(and all the Bishops) celebrate their anniversary!

    Link:

ttached file: 25th Anniversary Consecrations flyer June 2013.pdf (4 downloads, 1803 KB)
    Posted Today, 8:20 pm

Now, if this doesn't work, please just go up back to Etherel's post.

Also, while at Auriesville yesterday, somebody approached me and said they were coordinating a "gift"to the bishop of Rosary, Holy Communions, and Sacrifice pledges, in honor of his episcopal consecration anniversary. I don't have the details ( sorry-- don't remember who it was), so if someone hears of the novena pledges, please post them.

Also, the reservations for the Banquet need to be made ASAP-- at least before the 20th June! This is so Father can get the head count to the caterers.

I am posting this valuable information on behalf of a lady helping Fr. Ringrose in the organizing:  She has gone to great efforts to locate hotels, obtain discounts, etc:

"Hello and a Beautiful Day to you,

These are the accommodations which I have put together from my phone calls.  I was hoping for an option for everyone’s pocketbook.  There are many good hotels in the Tysons Corner/Reston, VA area.  A gentleman at St. Athanasius compiled a listing of hotels (with phone numbers) located in the general vicinity of the conference if anyone would need an alternate location.    I have included the attachment for the listing of those hotels as well.

I am very grateful for this hotel information as I only had the time to research these particular options.  With the traffic of the DC area, the maps that I have included are for the local streets.  Hopefully the traffic patterns will bring us to our destinations in a reasonable time frame.  I would not suggest travelling on the DC beltway if it can be avoided.  I included my phone number in case you needed any help.
The Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel is located at 430 Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA 22180.  The phone number is 703-281-2330.  Leo is the manager and he has reserved this information under the title of St. Athanasius.  Call the number directly to get the reduced rate.
Confessions for the confirmation candidates (and their guests who wish to make use of the sacrament) will be held at St. Athanasius on Wednesday evening, June 26th.  There is a Mass being offered for the Confirmation candidates (and guests) on Thursday morning.  Confirmations at St. Athanasius will be held in the evening on Thursday, June  27th  .
For these 2 days (Wed./Thurs.)  a room at the Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel will be $74.00/night plus tax.  This is a discount from the regular weekday rate.  The accommodations are for double occupancy (2 people).  Additional persons in the room are added at an extra charge of $5.00 per person.     There is a modest continental breakfast provided for the guests off of the main lobby where you check in.
The reduced weekend rate will apply for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The charge would be $69.00/night plus tax.  The accommodations are for double occupancy (2 people).  Additional persons in the room are added at an extra charge of $5.00 per person.     There is a modest continental breakfast provided for the guests off of the main lobby where you check in.
My family and I have stayed at the Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel on several occasions.  The area is safe to leave without concern for your items.  The rooms at the hotel are clean.  Leo has set the newly renovated rooms aside for anyone in this group to reserve.   The people who simply want a room to stay in would best be suited here.  Generally, I would say the adults who strictly want to go to the Mass and conferences without a lot of interaction will be comfortable staying at this hotel. "

Another hotel in Reston, Va is the Sheraton Reston (703)620-9000
At this very minute, I am awaiting permission to post a telephone number through which you can make reservations for the banquet. You can check back here, check into , or contact Father Pfeiffer's site ( you know the name already!) Make the reservations early.I'll post info here as soon as I get it!

  • Further information regarding the Episcopal Anniversary Celebration may be obtained from Fr. Pfeiffer's web site.

You may now make reservations, send donations, get hotel information. The Fathers are looking for generous souls to help fund this celebration undertaking, to help the priests' ( and Bishop's)  transportation costs, and to offset some of the expenses. Please go to the above websites to offer aid and support to your priests.

    It's Ethelred (not "Ethelrel")

And the website you're trying to link is not allowed by the SAD* bot.

Remove the hyphens and replace the (dot).

  • I am just wondering if I should call and RSVP for the event..(?)

The problem is that is says to send a check and telling how many people will attend,,
But I have no credit card or bank card or checkbook...I have only cash which I can give to them there. Is this possible to still 'reserve space'? If anyone has a number I can call...I will really appreciate it. Thank you!!

I can PM you the number for St. Athanasius. I'm sure Fr. Ringrose is real busy but it couldn't hurt to leave him a message.

  • Anybody driving there from New York or Boston and has one extra space? We could meet or skype before so you'd know who would be getting in your car. We could split the costs. I prefer this than taking public transportation. Please send me a message...
