  • My apologies if this has been posted already, I got it from another forum a few months ago.

    From http://www.truetrad.com

    Who we are:

TrueTrad.com is run by a group of laymen from various SSPX chapels who are very concerned not only about the agreement which Bishop Fellay came so close to forging with Pope Benedict and modernist Rome, but also about the the general weakening and new direction of the SSPX, and some of its priests and faithful.   We are old-timers who have been in SSPX chapels for 20 or more years, who are extremely grateful to Almighty God for giving us the SSPX.  (We maintain this website with our spare time, so please please contact us with any additions, corrections, etc.)

We have met and personally like Bishop Fellay, Fr. Rostand, and some other leaders of the SSPX.   But personality is a very differrent thing from office and duty.  These men seem blind and deaf to the tremendous dangers from their lack of caution and prudence when dealing with Rome.   They also do not see the spirit of compromise and weakness which is settling in on them and many others in the SSPX - both clergy and laymen.  This problem will endanger all Traditional Catholics and their children unless we speak out, warn others, and organize a respectful resistance.

  • I like also Truetrad. Pablo, please, don't attack your friends that are fighting the same fight as us. Don't call them like you did, please...
St John XVII,21 : That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me
We have the same faith, the same hope, the same Charity. If they put Cristero pictures, it's good. Cristeros are great saints and the more they are known and venerated the better it is.That proves that they admire your Saints... Perhaps they did something that hurted you ? In this case, forgive, please. We are all sinners and pharisees sometimes. Fr Chazal suffered a lot from sspx priests but he is always saying : I don't want to condemn anybody. Fr Pfeiffer told the same in Manila. Let's try to imitate them, even if sometimes, it is very difficult...

  • Fr. Chazal mentioned TrueTrad specifically as a website to go for information and updates during this time of crisis. I think I'll take his word instead of grouping the administrators of that site together with those who have helped cause this crisis. Unless someone has any evidence that the administrators of TrueTrad were personally somehow involved in any of the aforementioned activities attributed the "old timers", of course.

  • Pablo --

Your harshness towards the "Old timers" at TrueTrad is illogical and rash judgment.

You offer NO proof or even suggestion that these particular men and women were responsible for getting the SSPX to the surrendered position it has today.

Rash judgments like this are not without sin.

Just like I told Telesphorus that he can't blame ALL women in their 30's for rejecting him when he was younger. Sure, maybe several hundred women in his part of the world did indeed fool around with men in their youth and/or reject him -- but plenty of women worldwide still haven't met him, plus millions of women in their late 20's and even 30's are still virgins.

So how can you jump to conclusions that just because they are long-time SSPX parishioners, they are guilty of anything whatsoever?

That and the links are why I have it book marked. I don't know if it is updated regularly or not because I have not gone to that site much but I do like those videos.

  • Having been an altar boy for the first SSPX priest and I still go to SSPX, I'd say that makes me an SSPX old timer and with all due respect, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Many splits have occurred within the SSPX since the time the SSPX was established - the first priest left because the weight of responsibility became too heavy,  the second SSPX priest left after only a few years due to a power struggle / disagreement with +ABL, he left and has been in Colorado for decades. His replacement(s) got so fed up with what was happening within the Church that they became sede and convinced many to split away from the SSPX with them - and on and on it goes even today. Today is no different - those in charge are causing the crisis within the SSPX.

You must remember that the people are the victims, not the cause - it is the priests and their superiors who are responsible to see to it that the SSPX is held together so it can grow in the faith - they are the ones who are the cause of splits and today's batch of bs happening within the SSPX right now, not SSPX old timers  - "SSPX old timers" might possibly be the cause of idle gossip and such, but beyond that, there is very little if anything they can say or do that could possibly even begin to be the cause of what is going on today.

  • Victoriano... I mean Pablo,

Who's side are you on ?
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

On his very own, i.e. :

»The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly« (1966). Starring Pablo the Mexican.

  • It is true... we are the gringo comedian cowboys!

And we would like to buy you a shot of tequila and be friends.

Interesting comment you posted from Pope Pius XI.

He was the one who asked the Cristeros to stand down, correct?

I don't know the literary reference, but a trad once told me Pope Pius XI
was reported to have spoken to someone invisible while on his deathbed saying "... It was not my intention".

As movies go, I actually like that one. I especially like the music.

That was in the good old days when a movie had a real story writer. You know, a linear story with a beginning, middle and end, and various sub-plots that all reach a climax and resolution, etc.

Nowadays movies are disjointed, out-of-sequence, and often very confusing. Oh, and let's not forget unoriginal and contrived.
