Some kind of "manual Internet" -- or a Peer-to-peer client that everyone can run, and effectively keep the Free Internet going.
In short, think "large download on a website" (easily shut down) versus something like Torrent. Only for dynamic Internet websites including message boards, instead of just large files like Torrent is used for today.
I could run CathInfo on a server here in my house if I had to. All I'd need is a way for everyone in the world to know where it is -- how to connect to it. Some kind of peer-to-peer "virtual Internet" might get around government censorship controls nicely.
As a large government like the USA started clamping down, solutions like that would pop up as needed.
Necessity is the mother of invention. There's a reason that invention hasn't been born yet -- it's not needed, at least not yet.
Those of you who are bored, or have tons of time on your hands are free to dream up solutions. I think we have bigger fish to fry for right now.
