Time for the SSPX-MC missions to decide

Look, Boston, KY is the home of a noxious little Catholic cult, IMHO.  The operation ought to be terminated.  Frs. Pfeiffer and Hewko need to acknowledge the error of their ways, to stop pretending that the OLMC makes any useful or significant contribution to the Faith at large, or that it serves as a means whereby traditional Catholics may nourish and sustain their Catholic lives.  It’s a bogus apostolate, IMO, and needs to be put out of its misery, the quicker, the better.

The OLMC priests need to humbly subject themselves to the semi-authority of the only two viable bishops remaining, of whom most of us have any practical knowledge anyway.  They should renew spiritual obedience to Bps. Faure and Williamson, abandon the ill-starred venture in Boston, and give up any Episcopal ambitions.

We hear that the Boston, KY priests visit some 50 separate venues scattered throughout the world.  Let each of these “resistance chapels” come to some kind of firm decision about Frs. Pfeiffer and Hewko.  Let each of them take a vote among their separate constituencies.  If a majority of the faithful in any given “resistance” chapel vote to continue attending Masses conducted by these priests, well, so be it.   Let that decision be clearly expressed.

If, on the other hand, the majority of folks in a given chapel setting are unhappy with Frs. Pfeiffer and Hewko and the current situation in Boston, KY, then let them vote to rescind any further invitations to these two priests.

It’s time to fish or cut bait.

But do the missions have the fortitude to take such a strong stand for Truth?

Some will,  most won't. I would think that a lot of those folks have burned bridges to join this so called resistance and may think that they have no choice but to carry on and hope for the best.

And then there are the loyalist lemmings...................

It is of course easier to "move on" when you have something to move toward. The Resistance is sufficiently strong and growing for this stage, but the U.S. branch has taken a big hit.

If you're in a location with an established group that welcomed OLMC previously, you're well-positioned to begin a campaign to another priest (preferably several) to see if you can find a suitable alternative. Even better would be to work together with another Resistance group within driving distance to present the possibility of an entire Mass circuit rather than a single location.

We all know there are a number of good priests out there who don't agree with the Society, but haven't left for whatever reason. Even if they're rather ambivalent to the cause, the personal appeals of Catholics unwilling to compromise might move them to take the situation more seriously. If you know of a priest who is already familiar with many of the people in your area, the personal appeals might have even more effect. Organize yourselves locally and perhaps start a letter-writing campaign of testimonies, notes, spiritual bouquets, etc.

I don't believe we've exhausted the possibilities of priests who wish to follow Archbishop Lefebvre's guidance of not making a purely practical deal with modernist Rome.

"Shake the dust off your feet" was not the title of the topic which I created, if  I remember it correctly.  The Cathinfo moderator felt at liberty to change my original topic heading for whatever reason.  In any case, shaking the dust of one's feet has little to do with my proposal initially.  That Biblical reference points to prescribed behavior for Gospel messengers whose message is not heeded by the intended recipients of that message.  I'm just saying, let each of these reported 50 chapels decide individually whether or not to invite the priests back.  Shaking the dust off one's feet does not really apply here, I don't think.
