I think that the Resistance responses are rather brief because there's no real dilemma or struggle for them.  It doesn't impact them at all.  No need to wring their hands about whether they can disobey the "Holy Father".  That's why some of the other responses are so long-winded.

I disagree a little bit.  I do see this as a watershed moment in Church history.  Here Bergoglio explicitly intends to abrogate the Tridentine Rite and declares that those who do not consider the "reforms" to be legitimate are outside the Church "in heart".  Archbishop Lefebvre said that people are schismatic to the extent to which they "adhere" to the Modernist actions.  Bergoglio formally declared his adherence to a religion that is incompatible with the religion that came before it.

I don't think it's a watershed moment in Church history. After the New Mass was promulgated in the 1960's, there were few TLM's to be found in the greater church (conciliar church). We're back to those days. Except that the reigning Pope doesn't pretend (like JP2 did) that he cares about those attached to the TLM. That's the difference. Bergolio the destroyer has made open war on Tradition. But I'm not surprised. A Modernist has gotta do what Modernists do. He's just ramped it up a few notches. He thinks he can win with this new tactic. He won't - not in the long-run. I think it will back-fire on him, but it could take awhile.

Aren’t they forcing the priests who celebrate the True Mass to say the epistle and gospel in the vernacular? I’d say that’s an entire novelty?

Have there been reports of this anywhere?

In the motu he said:

§ 3. to establish at the designated locations the days on which eucharistic celebrations are permitted using the Roman Missal promulgated by Saint John XXIII in 1962. [7] In these celebrations the readings are proclaimed in the vernacular language, using translations of the Sacred Scripture approved for liturgical use by the respective Episcopal Conferences;

That's to be expected after having been poisoned by some of the false principles of R&R.  For you it matters nothing what a Pope commands and teaches; you just do what want anyway.  So for you this means something, when it should mean a lot to someone with a true sensus Catholicus.

This forces R&R to simply reject the Disciplinary Infallibility of the Church in principle, because the argument that it was never made mandatory has just been completely scuttled.
